What's up fellas,
Here is a quick write up of my latest build, a stunning 1680!
The idea was to keep it clean and refined, no lumpiness.
Some Specs:
Cartel 1680 (no engravings )
Re-shaped CGs
Rep 702 Crown/tube re-installed closer to case
Gen Crystal, modded (rep)date mag & crystal for proper fit
Clark Bezel Assembly, push & turn...none of that free willy loose bezel BS
Fat font Bezel Faded
Aftermarket pear installed
Open 6s & 9s DWO, re-centered
Clone movement, torn apart and serviced.
Case polished to remove tooling marks
93150 rep bracelet, softened edges
The only thing missing from this build are proper lug holes, I am waiting on my Drill press and HSS drill bits to arrive. The movement also needs a new date disc. Being that these asian movements use cheapo metals, the Date disc teeth are not "clicking" properly. Basically this means that the quick date setting is disabled on this, but date changes perfectly @ 12... no big deal. The best way to deal with this is to buy gen ETA parts, such as a ETA date disc.
Ok, enough jibber jabber.... PICS!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all enjoyed the show! thanks for checking it out
