Having watched the recent new film about this, and the guy who filmed the shooting, I tend to agree, that Oswald was simply a distraction.

Why dont they just say it already. Long time ago most of the people from that are dead and this country has been through way way worse since then.

There are so many coincidences that point to banks and so many flaws in the whole thing that I believe it was not Oswald.

Bush senior once said "we got Kennedy" recently in public. Reminder, he was fhe head of the CIA around that time.

To me JFK was the last real president.

Real as in REAL, not sponsored. Even not being sponsored he had great character, and had a moment towards peace and freedoms. I think taking him out would have set an example to all who follow. Hence the puppetry. I don't believe Obama is so stupid in real life. But if you had a family to protect, and corporations plugging you like you are a NASCAR driver, to be THE president, I would understand it to be a very awkward position. But the public is too docile to take notice.

Isn't there some sort of paperwork expected to be released by the government about the JFK assassination? More classified information? I thought there was a clause somewhere that the government has so man years and then it can release public documents.

Including Roswell.....can't go conspiracy without mentioning Roswell.

Bush Sr wasn't appointed director of the CIA until 1974, when he claimed to have never worked for the CIA before during his confirmation hearing. There have been several documents, facts discovered since that could sway you to think otherwise.

As far as JFK not being sponsored.... It's pretty well known that Sam Giancana as a favor to Joe Kennedy had several mob bosses throughout the country do whatever they do to sway elections (I will refrain from saying fixed the election because that's too vague and I don't know what was do everything specifically) included some very close districts in Illinois (Giancana's territory) and if I am not mistaken Illinois won him the election. This was done by Giancana with the foresight that the JFK administration would lay off the mafia, but to their surprise JFK appointed RFK as the attorney general and he went on a Rampage against the mafia...

When I was younger I read so many books on this subject, until I had a US History class in collage and I asked the teacher what he thought about the assassination of JFK and if he believed the conspiracies or not. This was a man that I respected, and did valued his opinion. He asked if I had read Case Closed by Gerald Posner. I had not and then I set myself to reading this crap book only to find that ---

I honestly believe that Oswald was the shooter and he was a lone nut.

Btw the magic bullet theory is quite well explained in that book as well as on this past weeks NOVA, which had ballistics experts tackle the issue of the magic bullet as well as the head shot.

I'm currently reading Parkland.

Now let the shit fly.

I was never into conspiracy theories but I always wondered Ruby shot Oswald. I've now read about 8 books on the assassination, both pro lone shooter and pro conspiracy. Anything is possible but there are just too many angles to the conspiracy side of things to say that every single one of them is bullshit. All of those angles is also what hurts the conspiracy theories because a lot of them contradict each other.

I saw the Nova show but I have also seen other shows with scientists, firearms experts and medical examiners that say the magic Buller theory is impossible.

When I first started researching the assassination I thought Oswald was the only actual shooter but I always thought he was part of a conspiracy as far as planning etc... because Jack Ruby (who had direct ties to Sam Giancana and Carlos Marcello of New Orleans) clearly shot him to not just shut him up but to make sure there was no trial. The second after Oswald was pronounced dead the investigation was pretty much dead too and Hoover ordered every piece of evidence to be shipped to DC where he personally took control of it.

Who lost their mind?

There are a litany of odd events that would lead one to conclude that the assassination was the result of more than one shooter, but what really puzzles me is that there was one "item" that came up missing that could conclusively end the controversy once and for all...Kennedy's brain... The bullet fragments found in the President's brain evidently presented a big problem for those that wanted to pin all three shots on Oswald....those bullet fragments did not come from his rifle...so his f'n brain disappeared...put THAT in your joint and smoke it..

Over the years, I must have read just about every book and watched just about every TV program that had a new theory. I'm still none the wiser.

I do think, though, that on that fateful day nearly fifty years ago, the US lost the greatest statesman it ever had, and it still chokes me up to think about it. There will be people ready to tell me about extra-marital affairs and other indiscretions, but it doesn't change my view one iota.

Just the views of an outsider looking in.

(By the way, George Bush Sr. was the president of Zapata Petroleum in 1963, his time with the CIA was later.)

Correct Bush Sr. (and I voted for Jr twice so I am not sitting here blaming the Bush family for all that ever went wrong in the world) was the president of Zapata oil in 1963.

This is interesting....

Zapata had many ties to the CO and the Cuban rebel forces trained and funded by the CIA. Bay of Pigs invasion was actually... Operation Zapata

The fact that Kennedy wanted to dissolve the Federal Reserve and was against the Viet Nam war made him enemies.....Banksters LOVE to print money..and do not want to have any source of currency manipulation taken from them..JFK knew that gave them too many opportunities for corrupt business practices .. the Kennedy empire didn't need to bow to the banksters, and they wanted him eliminated....Corporations stood to profit greatly from the Viet Nam war, and they wanted the conflict to escalate rapidly in the early 60's...Kennedy wanted no part of it. He was getting in the way of big cash flows, and the big boys were not going to stand for that...if they didn't get him 11/22/1963, it would have been some other day it would seem...

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go change out my aluminum foil.

Clean foil assures better reception or protection, as one desires. :D:

I remember my teacher's announcement as if it was yesterday: "The President has been shot and killed." She was shaking as she spoke to us. Her demeanor wasn't reassuring.

I hope America doesn't again suffer the collective trauma of an assassination.

I wasn't yet born but I remember my high school history teacher, who was a tough and stern guy, talked about it. He broke down in class. Never seen such a hard ass like him cry before.

It's unfortunate we'll probably never have another President make that kind of impact again.
