Strap making DIY?

Anybody know of any good DIYs for strap making?
I wanna test my hands and make my own.

I've read an excellent one somewhere by someone 'having a go' and also one in 3 or 4 parts by Timebandit, one of the Strap Makers on here.

Have a search, if it comes up blank it was probably on the Homage Forum
