Leaving feedback after a sale

I have sold a few things here and rg and should have around 20+ positive feedback on each but some people feel the need to totally ignore you after asking if they're happy with everything.
As a buyer I leave pos feedback a day or 2 after receiving items to make sure they are what was sold to me. As a seller I leave feedback after receiving it but as I mostly use my phone for the internet I can't leave it right away need a comp/ laptop.
Another thing that bugs me is when I've gone out of my way to please someone or hold an item and receive nothing in return not even after a prompt to leave feedback then the same person buys more of my items then still no feedback. I can think of one member here and rg that bought about 4/5 of my straps and no feedback.

The fact that sellers or dealers use feedback scores to determine the worth of a potential buyer everyone should see the need to leave it. Since they don't the feedback score doesn't mean much to me. BTW, I do leave it but often don't receive it.

Nope, probably just a known glitch in the system rearing it's head.
Instead leave the feedback in the M2M sales review area and try the feedback system again later.

I think your on the right track.buyer leaves feedback first then seller
responds with their experience.Sort of the way eBay works.wouldn't leave feed back until I heard from the buyer that their happy

In my opinion, which should be highly regarded by all who read this ;), is that the seller "should" leave positive feedback for the buyer first, as soon as payment is received. After all, the buyers only real responsibility is to pay the amount agreed upon in a timely manner. However, I put "should" in quotes because every transaction is unique and if you have an uneasy or even bad feeling from your buyer based on initial contact, you may want to hold off just in case. I personally wouldn't want to conduct business with anyone on the board I wasn't 100% comfortable with.

As for eBay, I started as a seller with the system set up to leave positive feedback as soon as the buyer left it for me. Seemed to make sense. But it was recommended to me to change the setting to automatically leave positive feedback as soon as the buyer completed payment. Although I lost my leverage if a customer happened to be unreasonable, I found the positive feedback ratings left for me jumped way up. People (most) are more comfortable and actually motivated to leave feedback if they have already received it. With the forums being more personal than eBay, there's an even better chance. That being said, I bought a watch from a nice guy on Repgeek. Transaction was smooth as silk and the watch was great so even though I was the buyer, I left him feedback first thinking it it was a guaranteed positive back to me... didn't happen and never heard from him again. :eek:hwell:

I really don't care who leaves first, but as seller i like to give feedback when buyer receive it, as buyer normally in 24h after receive it. That's my standard.

Don't forget folks that every now and again the feedback system refuses to accept a feedback form. No one including the writer of the code can work out exactly why this is, it only affects a handful of fora and we just happen to be one of them.
So it may not always be the buyer's fault that no feedback was left on the automated system.
