I am going to buy an AP 15400 blue dial. My problem is, which one of the two, BP or Z?(not even thinking about the Myota version yet to be released)

After reading a lot of threads and posts I am still confused.

I don'tt mind paying $438 for the Z factory if it is "that" much better than the BP. But $70 is better in my pocket if its not.

Has the BP v2 resolved the crooked hour markers @12. Has anyone bought one lately and can confirm this?

I know this is an old topic now, but would like to use the colective wisdom of the AP forum members who have bought one or the other.

:RWI:

Thanks in advance

This is specific to the blue.

BP Pros
more gen-like blue color
more gen-like bezel screws
more accurate AP logo with white in the middle
better lume and more accurate hour indices
crisper font on the dial

Z pros
shinier although less gen-like color
slimmer by 1mm
more accurate date window

Great comparison here:

Personally for me, Z over BP just because of the great sunburst like dial. Couldn't care less about anything else
