USPS delivered some leather nato straps to another apartment in my complex. Luckily, the other person saw it was mistakenly given to them and dropped it off at my door front. USPS post office manager was just about useless when I asked him about it.

yeah the guy was utter useless when I talked to him. After I had left, I heard him say 'no more people looking for me, I'm busy'

******* turd

Well that's not tracking as far as I am concerned, that's just delivery notification and beyond useless.

yeah usps priority mail comes with 'tracking' which is really just the old 'delivery confirmation'

I send all of my stuff (thats expensive) certified! Atleast I know someone signed for it and thats better than a package left on a doorstep for some tweeker to walk by and grab.

Damn Cwazy, this sucks mate with such a high value purchase. I would of though a signature would of been required when delivered? If so, this should be digitally stored somewhere, so maybe try and find out who signed for it, which incidentally should also show zip code of signature?

This sucks balls. Guy can send trash to your zip code and say he sent watches. I wish usps were more responsible.

If you paid through paypal, the seller will have a hard time proving that it was sent with tracking.

I still wonder why people save the few Dollars for signed-for, especially with higher value sales.

so,

i paid with paypal, but the seller had updated the transaction with 'sent' without any tracking on the paypal.

see, i'm just having a hard time coming to a conclusion of whether it was lost, or if the seller pulled one on me.

Also, I don't want to jump to conclusions and crucify someone

I have had packages delivered to the wrong address by usps multiple times. Thats why I always use fedex or ups when shipping. Private companies seem way more reliable.

Lately I've gotten several packages shipped UPS that are given to the local PO for final delivery, so UPS might not be much different that your local postman.

wow Cwazy, hope you get your watches or better case scenario your money. I had a similar case with some Ferragamo's I bought, UPS delivered and some one grabbed them from my door when I was at work, called Nordstrom and got my money back. That's why I always make sure I deliver/receive with signature notification. But this sure smells like the seller wanted to get a nice payday, hopefully not

sorry to hear of your issues, cwazy, but i bought a $300 watch from this seller and the box arrived as represented. (With no tape on the box, only closed with the usps adhesive that is part of the box.) Watch inside and as pictured. Hope your issue resolves...

Maybe in rural areas. Not sure. I have never seen that happen here in dallas.

That sucks. I've got a few packages delivered to my address by mistake, one was for an address few streets away. I took them to the correct address and had a talk with the mail man.
Did he sent you any proof he put the right address on the box and not just some random address with the same zip code so he can show PP it was delivered?
