Which TDs are true non-drop shippers?

Hi all, I recently had an experience with a TD who is a known drop shipper.

I received the first set of QC pics, there was a noticeable hair on the dial and one of the hour markers was missing a lot of paint.

Made me a bit mad, really. Do they really think I'm not going to see these problems? As I get older, I'm getting more and more impatient with these shenanigans.

So I marked up the photos, e-mailed them back to dealer and then had to wait 5 days for the second set of QC pics, different watch, this one was better, I approved QC pics and it's on its way to me now.

So, who in your experience truly hands picks and inspects the watch before sending you QC pics?

Or, do you have a dealer you trust so much that you don't even ask for QC pics?

Thanks for reading.

Perfect Clones...in my opinion, by far the best TD. If he says it's a good one, I believe him...sight unseen.

Sead-Supermirrors.

He is my go to dealer, I never ask for QC pics and he only sends them if he sees something questionable. Always been a great dealer for me. Only had one problem with a movement going awry in a watch shortly after arrival and Sead did everything in his power to make it right.

I've had good dealings with Trevor, Toro and Puretime as well.

+1 for Sead, I've never asked for QC pics or been offered them, good watches just arrive!

I use Tony at Asian 7750. I trust him totally. every watch I have gotten has been perfect in my eyes. I think any of the td's the other guys recommended are great too. I haven't used them but they have good reviews too.

Sead definitely! A bit slow on emails in comparison with some other TD's but great prices and great service.

I can't see any proof in your post that you are so confident to say your TD dropship. Sometimes a flaw is more noticeable on photo than what we see from human eyes because those photos are zoom in to many times.

Even if the flaw is very noticeable with human eyes, that can only proof that your TD neglect of inspection and does not amounting to dropshipping imo. As for taking 5 days to get you a second one for QC, I think it is nothing unusual.

Everyone have their own regular TD that they like to deal with, for me Trevor, Sead and Ryan is good but that might not be the case for you because they are not perfect, no one is.

Perfect Clones...in my opinion, by far the best TD. If he says it's a good one, I believe him...sight unseen.

By the way, PC and TT are not TD here, deal at your own risk.

I use sead and trust him immensely, there is no way he would send out a flawed watch.

It depends on how you define dropshipping. I don't want to disagree with the Boss but for me if a dealer lives away from GZH and has his guy there who takes the photos and send tge watches it's sort of dropshipping to my eyes.
I believe that OP is looking fot the dealer who inspects the watches himself prior to shipment.
We all know that not every dealer does it. Some have their staff to do it.

+1B.
If a dealer lives out of GZ - it's a dropshipping.

100% agree with you.

To me if a TD does not physically live in GZ China and he ships out of GZ China, we can word play all day, to me that's a drop-shipper IMO. He can say he hires others to QC and ship out the watch on his behalf, I call that BS. We all know that there is a TD that lives half way around the world from China but ship out of China. But then again, so what if there are TDs that drop-ships, who cares? You still get the watch at basically the same price.

Not entirely true.
Dealer is a professional (in most cases), he knows watches, he knows movements, he knows the flaws. His "staff" in GZ is not necessary well trained, otherwise they'd open their own businesses, or demand way higher pay. So, will I ever trust the "staff", who, probably, only know the difference between auto and quartz? Hell, NO!!!
