I am so happy with my BK 16610 that I am losing my motivation to buy more reps! Nooooooo!!!
I bought and sold about 5 reps before picking up this BK beauty, but now I feel I've actually found what I was looking for! I'm wearing this 16610 daily and its just so nice-- keeps +2.5sec/day time, oozes quality, gets the looks, zero call-outs.
It feels great, but I really need some inspiration for my next rep. I am thinking I'd love a top-notch Datejust rep (classic 36mm), but I'm having problems finding info on the "best build" route to take. Would be willing to spend up to $600-700 for a franken DJ (gen dial), but don't know who to contact to help me with a build. Anyone know a watchmaker that would take on the project for me? Example build-lists for me to emulate so I can focus on sourcing parts?
I love this site and want to stay active. A year ago I was wearing Seiko divers and thought the closest thing to a 16610 I would have (short of winning the lottery or waiting until retirement) would be a $400 Invicta. Cheers to BK, TC and RWI for giving me what I was looking for!
TC, mitchbaria, rudy, rsh, subjeff, bonesy, and others I am forgetting to mention... You guys rock for showing noobs like me how great these reps can be. It's funny that a love of counterfeit watches has brought together such an honestly great group of guys. Cheers.
