Questions for you.

1. Which dry oiler do you use to clean up the edges?

2. When carrying out this work, are you using your laptop screen as a microscope with your webcam, or are you wearing a magnifier headset, or loupe?

I'm certainly getting myself one of those Logitech HD webcams for sure, the macro of them is impressive.

1. I find that the 'fine' oiler is not fine enough. Nor is the 'ultra fine' oiler (thats the one that comes in the 5 pack).

to resolve this, I used a file to sand down the oiler to needle sharpness. I then buffed it to have a rounded tip so I can avoid scratching the dial and can thus use it in the way I have been by cleaning edges with it.

2. I dont use a loupe, but I work with the dial about 5 inches away from my face. I basically sit on a tiny stool and work on my desk.

The logitech webcam's are really good these days. Mine is around 5 years old and is still one of the best ones. The one I have has the carl zeiss lens and is very good for zooming in and all purpose webcamming needs.

How do you clean the dial if lume spills onto it? It always leaves a mark when the lume is cleaned off

I usually don't if I go slow, but in the video, I had some slop on the 9 marker because i loaded too much lume on the medium oiler. My specially made and finished oiler allows me to clean it up without damage or leaving residue.

I think the primary issue is that if you spill alot, you're screwed. It can only be a very small amount.

Another question for you mate, hope you don't mind. What is that ceramic tiny mixing bowl you are using, what are they called? I cannot find any anywhere, so maybe knowing the name, I can then search for one or three.

That little bowl comes with the lume kit. But what works even better than that bowl and needing to clean it... is a bag of these.

They're small plastic cups for tattoo ink. Theyre perfect because they have a small base so the mixture is easily confined as you're mixing.

I use a miniature mortar pestle set. Useful for grinding lume powder to increase fineness
