Hi all, just wanna share my experience of a dealing process that i have with a suppose buyer redcyrus for my MH rep hornback strap.

We both are from the same country and same timezone(GMT+8). Around 4.32pm suppose buyer redcyrus send me a PM saying that he will take the strap. After which we exchange quite a few PM to discuss about payment mode since it is a local deal that last at around 6pm local time, suppose buyer redcyrus said that he will transfer the fund by tonight.

I waited till 12am the next day and did a last check and still no payment have been receive, so i PM suppose buyer redcyrus(he is online) saying that it have been 6 hours and still no payment receive so the deal if off.

Then i proceed to update my sales thread that after 6 hours of waiting but still no payment receive so deal is off and item is back on sales. At this time, i receive a PM from suppose buyer redcyrus saying that only a few hours and i can't even wait?

I believe 6 hours is more than enough time for anyone to make their payment and when the promise have been made saying by tonight, i take it as before 12am. Suppose buyer redcyrus have the time to come online but no time to make his payment does not make sense to me as how much time will a transfer of fund needed.

It is not about the money that i can't wait and really in need of it but it is about credibility of a person that when a promise is made, it should be done in time.

So IMO, i feel that suppose buyer redcyrus is a lousy buyer and i will never want to have any dealing with him again.

This thread is just to share my personal experience and how i feel of it and not asking anyone not to deal with whoever. You guys can judge it by yourself.

I have dealt with similar members and always thought of putting up a thread like this. So much wasted time and the possibility of it being sold to someone else.

The last person I dealt with told me to mark the watch OHPF and he was going to pay me within the hour because he was on the train. Yet, he was able to message me throughout that hour. I finally called him out on it and said that if you can meesage me through private message, you can definitely send me funds via paypal already. smh.

Well after agreed upon time if the payment is not made then it is upto the seller to do whatever he wants to do with the watch or the strap or whatever he is selling.

It is not about the time wasted or anything, i can wait for what buyer promise but after which when the time is up and the fund is still not there, i think i have the right to call the deal off. Especially when buyer is online and it is 6 hours of time which i think will be more than enough for anyone to make the payment.

I have no intention to call him out until his PM to me that pissed me off. So i post this just to share my experience with all members here.

There is no specific time agree, buyer just say by tonight when he last PM me around 6pm so i give it until 12am which i think it is fair enough for me to call off the deal when no payment receive.

Hey, I know that guy. We were talking about a watch deal, and he suddenly stopped replying my emails. I shot him another one after two days asking if he was interested, but he still hasn't gotten back to me. FYI, I put the watch on hold for him.

As a seller, you can back out anytime you want to. You gave him more than enough time. There was a great deal on the watch one time here and seller gave me 15 mins to pay. Under the circumstances i understood why he would do that since guy got 6-7 pm within a minute of posting his ad. Anyways, what you did is brave. Most people wouldn't do it because they are scared of negative sales feedback from somebody.

Good luck to you.........:hehehe:

That does sound like poor etiquette!

I thought so too. That is why when i check he was online but no payment made, i decide to call it off.

IMO, when a time period is given, it is fair that either you accept it or give it up so i think there is nothing wrong if the seller gave only 15 mins doesn't matter it is a hot sales or not.

I don't bother about whatever feedback, there is no need to scared of anything which i did nothing wrong of.

Yeah I pid him rite away. He was a great person to deal with. I am not complaining about 15 min window. If you have money and are on computer, it takes less than a min to pay anyways. What I was trying to say is that it is the seller who determines how much window a buyer has. Not the other way around.

I don't understand why people don't just pay right away. If you have time to send someone a Pm about a watch, then you have time to make the payment.

Anything I have bought on RWI, I have made the payment right after the deal was agreed.

I sold my first two watches on RWI on the weekend, both buyers paid instantly after we agreed the sale, which is the way it should be.

heck, I had a seller hold a watch for 3 days (negotiated) as I was out of town with spotty internet and couldn't be bothered...ya damn right as soon as I got good net back I fired over the money...I don't know why people like to waste their own and other's time on stuff like this.

if you have a paypal account (I do not) there is no reason why you shouldn't pay right after negotiating a purchase...open a new tab, login and send payment!

+1 on this. I can still wait for a few hours but i don't like to be taken for granted. Be it that the item is a hot sales or not, i rather call off the deal and if nobody want it, i just keep it than to deal with someone that is so hard to deal with.

I don't understand it either............:thud:

Last we agree on local bank transfer which i think is also as easy as PP that 6 hours should be more than enough time to do it.

I don't understand why people don't just pay right away.
Many different reasons. I, for example, have one special bank account, that I use for Paypal only, and if I made a few purchases in a day - wood, parts, etc, and at the evening I see something in M2M, that I want to buy - I have to drive a few miles to my bank, and put funds on account thru ATM, because I don't keep big amounts on this account, and at the end of the day, there maybe, not enough funds to cover the purchase of the watch, part, of strap. Other people might have another reasons.

Pm via mobile is easy. PayPal via mobile is not. It's difficult to choose your payment source and impossible to choose your shipping address. I have a Canadian and US address, so often have to tell a seller I will pay in X hours from a PC where I can actually see what I'm choosing.

I also typically pay and require payment quickly. That being said, I had RSH hold 2 watches for me that he posted in m2m sales because I was traveling and all I had access to was my IPhone. As soon as I checked into my hotel I sent him the money. I'm would only ask this of a known member though. Also I would not hesitate to do this if one of my fiends asked me for the same favor.

If a buyer and seller agree on terms to hold the watch or payment for a certain length of time then fine but usually when your PMing a seller saying you want it, you'll take it, send me your payment details then you either pay right then or piss off. There is no F'ing way I would sit around for hours waiting on some dumbass to send payment. Either pay now, come to an agreement together, or F off. I don't want to hear about how you need to juggle funds, run to the bank, get a loan, and a whole pile of shit you need to do to buy something.
