Interesting. I hope the kid gets sober and your friend learns a lesson. Oh and he is not too hard on the wifey.

Good ending to a bad story.

on another note.

I have four reps now, say they get stolen and I provide prof of purchase (which I Have). Are they covered under content insurance even tho they are reps?

Great ending? are you kidding me? this guy owns a home repair company and employees thieving drug addicts and doesn't get rid of them because his heart won't let him! wow!
I'm sure he'll be on the top of Angie's List...... :gotgoat:

Wow glad to hear it, very rare to get a positive outcome when dealing with thieves who have a dependency to drugs or alcohol, nice story op, glad everything turned out well, to the guy who's asking if his reps are covered, I really can't see insurance paying for counterfeit items.

I wonder what would of happened if they didn't get the watch back and the dealer found out it was a rep. The other two watches weren't high value so I guess this could have been a lose lose for everyone. The dealer would have been out his drug money the junkie would probably be dead and my boss would have had no watches. Its funny how life works. I know one things for sure I won't be doing any home repairs any time soon.

Glad the watches came home... But my BS meter is going off big time. I suspect the boss (and I know he is a friend of OP) had a hand in this. I have employees and can tell you if one of my people did that, I'd handle it internally and get them back if I can but would NEVER share a story about a drug dealer and debt etc... The only reason for such a story is to shine the spotlight on a scapegoat to avoid anyone looking at me.

I am not saying that's the case here but just smells funny. In any case all property is back where it belongs and all is good in the end! I would recommend that your friend consider changing the locks - just ask the landlord.

Best!

Again I'm not directly in the middle of all this I'm a spectator and can only report the info given to me. I know these guys go way back but not much more about their relationship. Again all I cared about was the watches and if they are home then as far as I'm concerned this is a happy ending.
