TC YM and BK WM9 YM what is the difference?

So when i joined the rep scene everyone talked about the BK WM9 YM as the best YM you could get, a lot have happened to the rep game since.

Now when I'm ready to buy a YM i have read a lot threads about YM and came to the conclusion that I will buy a BK WM9 YM or a TC YM FD.

When TC entered the scene a lot of you older members talked about the WM9 being back.

So are there any advantage to choose a BK WM9 over the TC YM or are they the same?

i seem to remember BK sourcing a better YM Insert for he's builds but i might be wrong.

This question has been going around alot, ive done lots of research as i too am keen on getting one of these but they both have their postives and negatives. The tc dial is imo better than bk it has more of that radiant appearance as bk seems a little flat. Also the insert for me is about the same,tc has the proper specking and contrast but the numerals seem to appear better on the bk but tc are very close as well. Case wise they both look good but i think the wm9 gets the nod there its almost perfect. Anyway that being said either one is great rep and im sure there is no wrong decision..i own a TClv im considering going with him again as iam familiar with quality and craftmanship. A gen crown and crystal and you have yachtmaster i would consider a super rep..

Ive had both in hand, they are the same exact watch other than the DWO and crystal that TC and BK uses , BK uses clark crystal and his DWO ..
TC uses his DWO and his crystal .

TC has a small gap between the case and bracelet thats its only flaw compared to wm9 and gen

I own the wm9 version of the watch,,,,, TC sent me a fdym to see if the bracelet was a perfect match.... and Viola! exact same.....

i believe these are the exact same watch..... if i didn't own this watch I'd def buy one before the stock runs out.....

also wanted to mention I had both dials side by side and under a 20x loupe , they are exactly the same dial ,no difference

Thanks guys im ready to buy and looks like ill be going with tc after all ihave the sub only seems fair to get his ym.. One question the fdym is sold out is the other one he is offering his clone movement?

noob YM is long out of stock and gone

FDYM refers to factory direct YM - again gone, TC assembles the YM so not FD anymore

His clone movement is great IMO

BKs and TCs are the same base watch, like WGU mentioned, they use different crystals and dwos.....not a huge difference at all

BK does not have them anymore
