BR01 or BR03 - how do they wear?

Hi Guys,

Im looking at getting a B&R and having trouble choosing a size (although based on all the threads of people trying to track down BR03's, my decision might be made for me).

How does a BR01 / BR03 feel to wear?

As a reference I have PAMs, both 44mm Luminor and 47mm 1950 (PAM127). The standard 44mm Luminor feels pretty perfect on my wrist, I could go a little bigger but Id rather not go much smaller. While the 47mm, I think, wears like its bigger than that - I have an Oris ProDiver Chrono too that is bigger in every way, but the PAM127 still feels like a lot of watch.

So does the square shape make a B&R wear bigger, or smaller, than its dimensions? At 42mm, the BR03 sounds like it would feel a bit small for me, but maybe not? And any wrist shots Ive seen of a BR01 do make it look pretty huge...

Any advice for a newbie to the brand? - ps: pretty sure Im keen on steel case with back dial, white markers, but I could be convinced to go PVD case.

thanks

Square watches wear larger than round watches of the same diameter. A BR01 wears larger than a 47mm PAM but a tad smaller than, say, a Mare Nostrum (52mm).

Ive had a 01 03 fiddy pams and largest to smallest in this order by feel on wrist

01 03 and then fiddy in my opinion.

01 was wayyy larger than i had hoped. So traded for a 03.

The square case does affect the size significantly.

I have the Fiddy and BR-01-92. The Fiddy feels bigger to me, maybe because it's heavier. If you like how the Fiddy feels, you'll not regret owning the BR-01. Those 2 watches are my most worn in my collection, and will never part with either.

Sold my BR01 to get 47mm Ti Rad. The 01 wears a touch larger but possibly due its weight. They are very close. With long sleeves the softer rad case tucks into my cuffs more easily for sure.

Missing my B&R already and will pick up a BR03 soon. I have 7" wrists so I think it'll be a keeper...

I had a pvd by the way. Held up very good with semi daily wear over 6 years... Guess I was an early adopter.
My next will be SS

Thanks for the feedback guys - how would you say the 03 compares to a 44mm Luminor?

ie - does the square case make up the extra couple of mm's visually?

03 is smaller in diameter and not as tall off the wrist. Would wear noticeably smaller. Others with direct experience should chime in

The rep 03 is too thick compared to gen whereas 01 reps are the same as gen.

I say go for an 01 rep.
