Reps for ladies... Any suggestions?

My gal has never been a watch fanatic but she has taken an interest lately with the new reps and gens I have been adding to my collection.

I wanna buy her something and I showed her a stack of gen catalogs and told her to tell me what she liked in terms of styles.

The TAG link and Rolex Yachtmaster seemed to peak her interest but she said "just surprise me"... She wears a smallish TT Citizen Eco-Drive as her dress watch and cheapies for work or mucking around. I'm thinking something sporty, yet dressy and a bit bigger than say a ladies datejust.

She has no interest in a pricey gen, although I saw a nice TT TAG at a liquidator I deal with and for $1.400 it was a steal but she would flip if I spent that much on her as she would prefer the money go towards a trip somewhere. She told me she would be happy with a rep. I know she is not into winding and the continual setting of a manual so a quartz will be OK with her (but automatic / self-wind is not out of the question)

She's not a fan of overly large or men's-sized watches and prefers SS or TT and would prefer a bracelet rather than leather strap. She's taller and athletic with about a 6" wrist.

An all gold would work if it wore well and didn't have the plating come off in the short term.

I will spend $300 or so but would like a few recommendations from female members who have bought ladies watches they have been very happy with or guys who have bought watches for their GF or spouse and been pleased with the purchase. If gold, something realistic with quality plating.

I realize this is kind of an open-ended inquiry but if u have a picture or a story to share it would be most welcome.

Great suggestions guys!

Keep 'em coming. Don't know why I completely forgot Cartier.

What about the TT and gold tones? Any of them stand up to wear?

So I've bought the following female reps

Mid size santos ultimate, 2x 38MM big bang quartz, 38mm big bang classic fusion, mid size YM (yet to approve the qc pics), channel j12 auto, ladymatic ultimate.

The santos is amazing minus the strap. The big bang quartz are amazing as well for the 38mm. The j12 auto wasn't bad but the gen looks like shit as well so the rep looks shit imo but good rep. The ladymatic is pretty good as well.

My wife has two reps and loves them both, I think I'll be getting her something else soon too...

She has a 21J Rolex Explorer 1 on a brown leather strap which she wears daily as it is really understated and looks smaller than 39mm without the bracelet.

I also got her a quartz TAG Link Chrono with a white face which she loves. She wears this at the weekend as a more casual watch and, as its quartz, it is always ready to go, and the Explorer runs from Friday night to Monday morning without being wound so it works well.

The TAG is about the same size as a Speedmaster but the white face makes it wear small, she has 6" wrists and, while it took her a day or two to get used to it, it looks great on. It was quite cheap but the quality is really very nice, adjusting the bracelet is a breeze and only the clasp needed a little adjustment with a file to get it to close properly every time with no fiddling.

When I first started picking up reps I would tell my wife to let me know if she sees anything she likes and I'd get her something. She really liked my black dial iwc3565 and has been wearing that as a daily beater. Then I got her a Daytona which she likes but wears sparingly:

Then we walked into a tourneau for no real reason and she fell in love with a Cartier, but I've been unable to get a rep of this. I may just buy the gen for her down the road.

Good ol" Lucy found me the Omega Lady-Matic in SS w/ white face for $200. Quartz movement. Should make her happy as she usually wears deparment store cheapies and could never justify (or fathom) the huge retail of a gen Omega.

Will post QC pics as soon as I get!

Thanks for all the input. THIS is what makes this forum so special. What a great community!

Good old Lucy!

What an awesome seller.

She's just checking on it's accuracy over a 2 day waiting period.

I bet my gal will love it!

She wont care that it ticks. She wouldn't wear the gen if she was a millionaire. Simple tastes.
