I had as many as 7. It became monotonous to me. But hey, whatever floats your Goat ! :goat:
Panda and
Upcoming Tour Auto ( if colors are right ) , or FC Diver with correct pattern.
I'm planning on keeping 2,3 AP's max.
Yeah... RIGHT!!!!! You know you can't resist anything with an octagonal shaped bezels with screws in it!!
Ok, I like this pick two concept, but it shouldn't just limited to reps.
As for reps, you have to pick from the best available. That would have to be the noob diver 4.1 (or whatever it's called now) and I'll keep my BP AP 15400ST with black dial. Noob is sporty and is a great weekend watch. The 15400 is awesome with a suit or other business attire. I would take a safari as a close third, but we are limiting ourselves to only two AP's.
If I could have two (and only two) AP's (Gen), I would have to have a RG 15400 with silver dial on a solid rg bracelet and a safari. The RG 15400 is a f-ck off piece in every way...purse class. From the offshore line, I think the Safari has a gorgeous case and the dial is classy, but neutral. You can wear it with virtually any color and tone of strap (or bracelet) and get a different look. There are other ROO's that catch my eye like the RGRC, but for a flexible watch that I will like ten years from now as much as I do today, the safari is the one that does it for me.
Although I would want an AP Diver as my rep, I wouldn't take as a gen. I do love its great looks, but in the real world the gen is not a real diver and it's not all that rugged and durable. For a diver, I think would need a a submariner, sea dweller, maybe a seamaster 300 or planet ocean etc---not an AP Diver, so it won't be joining us.![]()
lol I have a 4.1 diver on the way to replace my current diver. I also having a safari inbound. Watching your video made my dress watch rep purchase ever more difficult as it went from a timewalker vs overseas to vs ap 15400.
I really like the overseas, but the best "silix" version (with AR, correct DW and font, correct tachy, decent cross) has been out of production for at least a year, maybe longer. The version currently offered by angus and the alternative version offered by the cartel are "ok", but both are older reps and, while decent in their day, they could be much better. The prices are reasonable on the overseas reps, but if you're willing to spend a little more there are much better option for a sporty dress watch--including the BP 15400.
