I'm working on a Franken GMT IIc and am not liking having everything visually tidy but an ICHS on the kisser. If you have a non-exploding CHS movement for permanent borrow I'd like to hear from you. Can't seem to find one...at least not right now..from a TD. TIA.

You are better off ordering a full watch from the dealer and not messing with it. Or live with the ICHS. I too suffer from this affliction. ;) CHS or Gen 2893 I would fell better about or clone the GMT movement.

Yeah, BK says the 2893 thinness and lack of hands for the movement make it a nightmare...

Well see, I think that is an asset assuming you can find hands, which they do sell on ebay. If Otto Frei can get H4 cannons for the 2893 .. add a DWO and a custom spacer and you have a nice lifetime watch. Albeit... ICHS still, so we are the same place again. :) Chinese... Please clone the gen.

If she's running OK - and your wanting to part ways - give me a PM. I might be interested. I've 'bout decided ICHS isn't the worst of it. It's not SO obvious till you near 12. Just you want an expensive build to look the part.

On that note- I got my gen GMT IIc bezel assembly today - and - she looks great. Waiting for me dial, watch and other goodies and then off to races we go!

That's nice, but if you really want to be a helpful member of this forum you could at least share what you know about what you have. Pics are nice also. Movement pics even better.

? I've built two (running fine for going on two years now) for myself and am working on more for others. No reason to "not mess with it" and the CHS system seems quite robust.

Look here Sam Sneed, Where the eff were you when I needed you most? Huh? ;) The old ones used to blow up and that spring was the cause. I would love to do an Aluminum-Coke one day. I'll look you up if that is ok. :) Thanks for the info.

So there ya go OP, go for it.
