Sit tight I am sure someone will chime in.

AP Straps are some of the hardest and most difficult to change.

What ever you do don't try to force it - often something will break or your watch will be scratched to pieces.

Help is on its way.

Pics of the problem? For hktan's you really need to hold them in place. I would suggest you to not use the pin you have but something like a sewing needle or paperclip to keep one end in, while you try to line up the other side.

Pull the lugs off. Fit them on to the strap. Put the lugs back on. Any strap without inserts is tough. HK is tougher because his straps don't leave a huge gap like others. Therefore it's pushed up tight against the case.

HKTan installation can be a real hassle. It sometimes helps to try to square the edge that sits next to the watch head through pressure.

I've learnt quickly to hand it over to a watchsmith and let him sweat it whilst I pop off for a coffee...and maybe a little cake.

OP stated - 'but having problems to fit them, even watchs, itch said pin is not fitting in'.

Perhaps let him know who your watchsmith is and we can all pop out for a coffee and some cum quat cake.

if the strap is too thick it will not fit between the bar/cap and watch case. I hope that isn't the case. A lot of attention has to be given to this part of the strap while making it. If it's forced together and the strap is too thick, the watch will chew the strap up faster than normal. Look at where all the genuine AP straps fail.

I doubt it's too thick. If you've never put an HK'S strap on your AP, it can be tough. Once you figure it out , it is good to go.

HKTans hornback looks goddam freaky. It's like all his crocs straps have been cloned from some weird science experiment in N. Korea.

True. There are some "monster horn backs" from HKTan where it is hard to see the watch dial because it is blocked by a mutant horn on the strap. What are they feeding the crocodiles in N. Korea?

Tried other watch smith no luck. Going for a reputated dealer tomorrow. Didn't knew it was such a headache. Most of them are scared they would break the screw, where can I get spare screws from?

Mintmanin: Ryan is the man to get your extra pin (Thanks to BMW :)) . My advice if you are going to change strap frequently, buy the set of endlinks as well. That way, you can change them around just by removing the 4 screws on the watch that holds the endlinks (which a lot easier)..! As for inserting the pin when I had mine a few weeks back what I did was check whether the loop are in line by trying to insert the pin before you try on the lugs, you might want to line them up by inserting a small screwdriver and make a few turn to remove the excess hardened polymer that he used to replace the inserts. Good luck!
