Anyone had their hands on a Piaget Polo Firty Five?

I am never difficult to with anyone. The problem with forums are like any other form of electronic communication. Much is lost in translation.

Thank you Big Rajl for understanding. I assumed that high volume posters and watch aficionados like those found here would understand that I assumed the watch may exist but perhaps only in a low-grade / back-alley model and I was simply curious. Re-read my post.

Anyone thinking I was dim-witted enough to assume the pics I posted were of a rep is wrong. This is not my first rodeo.

As for the other forum. I like it equally. The only time anyone there was less than polite and helpful was in relation to the mirror of this post. It seems it was taken out of context by the same people over here (who like me) frequent both boards.

Too many times posts like this develop a life of their own. Jeezuz guys, relax.

If I hear anything of a Forty Five rep (of any quality or or any price point) I will share the info.

Gotta' go. Have several episodes of Duck Dynasty and Honey Boo Boo stored up of the PVR.

Cheers.

Well, I spent quite a bit of time researching the possibility of a Piaget Forty Five replica existing. In retrospect I suppose I should have just listened to the comments from other more experienced forum members (here and an on another forum) They were right. The watch does not exist.

Call me naïve, but I thought the fact that I could find evidence of it online then I thought it must exist. I'm glad I never got sucked into spending money with a scammer and I hope this post will save even one person from throwing their money away on a non-existent product from a rip-off site.

This was a good learning experience and the most important thing I take away from this is read, read, read and then read some more.

The postings about illegitimate dealers, scammers and out & out thieves were a real eye-opener and provided invaluable information that in many cases took a lot of effort by people who's only real concern is to share information and assist other replica enthusiasts.

I probably pushed a few buttons with other forum members who were probably just trying to help out and I apologize.

That said, I do hope someone decides to rep the Piaget Forty Five. For my money, it is one of the nicest looking watches they have ever made.

I do have the rep. Got it a few years ago long before I discovered the forums. The site I got it from vanished shortly after I placed the order but I did get the watch. In my opinion it is very good quality, on par with my VC Overseas and Pam 177.

Whoa Nellie! Maybe I spoke to soon. I spoke to 2 TD's and one said he had never ever seen it and doubted it existed the other said he had somply never seen or heard of it.

I also contacted 3 sites that claimed to have stock but no one ever got back to me (fairly strong evidence that the sites are scams)

Another poster here says while the TD's have vast knowledge there are a lot of watches made that never make it to the forums but usally because they are of very low quality (flea market junk)

Can I ask you to post a couple pics? Perhaps a side by side with your Vacheron? maybe a wrist shot?

I'd love to see the pictures too, but I highly doubt we'll see it. Ever.
@300kph - glad you got some knowledge, and saved your money. Another thing - if rep. factories never made this watch, it only mean - this watch is too average, and wouldn't sell well. There's tons of way better looking watches.

Thanks Luth... Still, I love that watch. Strangely I was never a fan of the original Polo or other iconic watches of that period. The Cartier Panthere was another 80's style I used to see worn by the elite crowd but never really dug it.

The new re-design of the Forty-Five floats my boat however it's $12,900 retail is up there. If I was NFL rich I would probably toss one one the pile. Maybe Patriot's Aaron Hernandez will be selling his cheap. You know what they say: No bling in Sing Sing!

Thanks for the tune-up and if you have any clout on the other forum please tell them lesson learned and I am ready to play nice.

Cheers!

PS: now to see what all the fuss is over the AP Diver. Research time!

All that Aaron need now is a lot of vaseline.
AP Diver is a very nice watch, I have one with black dial, and one with white dial. Maybe, Diver is very close to a gen, I don't care about 1:1 or 0,9:1, I like watch - I buy it. I have about 60 watches, and AP diver is in my 10-15 favorite watches, but not the most favorite.

Luth did what he does best. Saved you money. And you acknowledged it. Everybody goes home happy. I would like to see pics of the watch that dhg935 is claiming to have. Preferably with his VC with "RWI tag."

No problem, never posted pictures before so be patient. I'll even throw in the VC and a RWI tag.

Bought it a few years ago, didn't know about TD'S back then, just found it on the web, paid with Amex! I know I tried to find the site but it was gone. Here's a pic of the movement

Well I'll be damned!

And the white face to boot.

You mentioned it's decent. Like to hear more. Fairly simply screws on the caseback but from those pics it's better than I might have imagined. You've had it for a while now and it keeps OK time? How long of a power reserve.

It came out about 5 years ago and I guess it don't take long for some rep factories to jump on a new design. Might have just stiffed in sales or one of a dozen other reasons why it's virtually unheard of.

I'm glad to know it exists. I too know some people who bought oddball stuff from other websites out there in the Wild Frontier but it's such a crapshoot these days from what I hear. Best to stick with TDs in my limited experience.

Thanks for posting D!

PS: Found a great retail gen site today and ordered an Oris Divers Small seconds in SS w/ wavy blue. Super discount (almost a grand off retail) and free sizing and free Int'l shipping. A wonderful girl named Ariel took my order. http://www.authenticwatches.com/oris-tt1-diver-64376098555mb#.UeY8LqzNlhI

Will post pics in the Oris section next week when it arrives. Pumped! Wanted one for a while now. And for you Ulysse Nardin fanatics out there they have the Freak on sale for $25K off retail!!! Pretty good deal if a watch of that pricepoint is in your wheelhouse. Sadly, not moi! w
