BTW, why in the world would you need a working moonphase indicator, what could you possibly use it for? I do have a gen with moonphase and it's quite a useless feature. I'm curious if anyone uses it for anything, ever.

Not useless if you hunt, fish or farm mate. There are many reasons knowing the phase of the moon is handy.

I was looking at the watch now and it also has a tachymeter and GMT. The moonphase looks quite useful now compared to those.

I m looking for a moonphase, i believe it still have value, when I m setting up the time in the morning, sometime I don't know when did the watch stopsped, and it creates the problem that the date change on 12 in the noon, I found that very annoying.
Since I cannot find a good moonphase rep, I m considering to gen a gen...

Ah, a moon phase won't help with that mate, you need an AM/PM indicator.

I've just thought of a great, practical use for a moonphase indicator!

If it shows the moon in the first quarter, the Chinese watch factories are getting ready for a national holiday. If it's in the second quarter, they are on holiday, third quarter gearing up after a holiday, fourth quarter - buy a watch while you have the fawking chance :cny::thumbsup::
