I've got the watch bug and in my short join time here, I've already accumulated 5 watches so far!

One of them I'm not to keen on so want to sell it but how do i go about finding what movement it has? Is it a case of removing the back and will it tell me the movement inside?

The watch is an AP if thats any help and the second hand ticks rather than sweeps and does say Quartz on the back.

Village, of course
So it will be a quartz AP.

Sometimes the most obvious answer is the correct one :)

Generally speaking mechanical movements sweep and quartz tick.

If it is sweeping, you can find out the movement by

1) Finding the link to where you bought the watch in the first place
2) Looking at it through the caseback and comparing it to some of the common movements found in reps - http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/movements-61
3) Opening the back if it doesn't have a display caseback

Obviously 2nd and 3rd option will be much preferred when selling and taking pictures, especially when you're dealing with possible Swiss movements.

Though once you get the hang of watches, this will all seem very obvious

:)
