So I got the watch after 6 weeks waiting.

I found out the bezel insert is made from aluminum not ceramic on the Ti version.
I bought an extra bezel and had the pearl centered so now I need to find gray epoxy with the same color as the bezel triangle to finish it.

Also the dial feet is not the 2824 layout as it's attached to the fancy rep movement holder.

Here is a quick pic and movement compare.
More will come as I'm on my phone right now.

All I need is some popcorn and unfortunately maybe more than one night of wait :) This will be a great watch!

I think this project will take a while. To design a new movement holder and modify the dial feet for the gen 8500 seems to be more complicated than I thought.

But not impossible just taking it slow to get every detail perfect.
If any one can source a gen blue ceramic bezel insert please PM me.

All you need is gen. dial, gen hands, and gen bezel. It is 70% real watch.

The rep dial is very good. And the reason the dial feet is outside the movement in the holder is probably because there is a bigger DW overlay so the original 2824 dial feet holes is covered. This means the date window will fit the gen movement (I hope).

Also the rep hands is very good. I will clean and polish their edges and they will fit directly on the gen movement as it have the same hand size.
Only the sec hand need to be 0.03 mm wider to fit the pin.

But last if anyone got dial hands and a bezel send me a PM :)

The project is going very slow, no progress yet. I have only ordered some metallic enamel to paint and polish around the pearl to make it look good (I hope).

You may have answered this before but why have you chosen to build it on the titanium model and not the CrPo?

Because it is more appealing IMHO than the other crpos, the caseback states "liquidmetal" and it is titanium, but the only downside-bezel insert which is aluminum and not ceramic..

Yes it's because of the correct markings on the caseback. Only titanium should have liquid metal markings. I'm still looking for a gen insert, seems impossible :)
