What a great little car, very eye-catching design when it first came out (yes, I can remember that far back:D:)

Model 105E? can't remember the engine size, 1000cc or 1200cc?

Way back a buddy of mine fitted a 1500 tuned engine to one of these and we thought it was the dogs bollocks.

Safe motoring and enjoy. Phil

It's non standard... It has a 1300 cross flow engine from a Ford escort...disc brakes and it's slightly lowered.. It runs like a dream. The bodywork is showing signs if it's age not surprisingly.

Good memory, Phil. I think I must be roughly the same vintage as you.

It was indeed the 105E (Kent), and was 997cc. Later on, they brought out an Anglia 'Super' which had a longer stroke 1198cc engine.:D:

I learned to drive (partly) in one of those.

I have NO clue why anyone would voluntarily drive one in this day and age, though. Hideous, rattly, uncomfortable little rustbuckets with all the charm of a case of amoebic dysentery and the structural strength of wet toilet paper.

The only thing worse was the OTHER car I learned to drive in - a Morris Minor.. aaargh!

;)

LOL! My missus would kill if she was 'in the room'.
