I still want to know how they "feel better".

People are trying to educate you, but you keep arguing.

OK bro, you win..I dont want to argue anymore.

I seriously cant tell the difference between the Porsche 911 I had vs the Honda Accord with respect to steering feel and handling.

Ok, Im done with this thread...:beatahorse:

Let me ask you a question, if I wanted a swiss movement, would the odds be higher of getting a swiss mvt if I pay a TD for a "supposed" swiss mvt such as the SW200 Sellitta?...or a stated Asian 2824 or 7750??

I'm not really sure about the odds but my game plan has always been to buy watches with clone movements then after wearing them awhile I can replace them with a brand new Eta movement if I decide to...That way my odds of getting a swiss movement are 100%. I think each person has to figure out what system works best for them. :)

Mate ur here 2 weeks and not a gd first thread to go by. Understand the game and hobby by, as advised, reading more first.
Forums have TDs and i would say ALL TDs offer swiss as well as clone, to cover the whole market. As for 1 who only offers SWISS, that would NOT be a TD and hence not advised.
Anyone here pointing u to the dealer you are looking for... Is not doing u a favour. If you ever had a problem with the TDs, the Mods can help you. That's the whole purpose.

OP, while many of us disagree with you, and the posts here provide some valuable information, you asked a question with a pretty simple answer.

None of our TD's specialize in Swiss movements and no one will comment on non-TD's that may claim to do so. They all can get the same things.

Some will carry a few ETA 7750's. Generally though, only the three-hand movements and some hand-wound panerais will be available in Swiss commonly. On top of that, its mostly Rolex's and Omega's with gen Swiss available, with a few exceptions for major releases like the AP diver or JLC NSD.

No one has mentioned the luck factor.

A clone ETA or DG could feel much better if they are assembled properly and the "Swiss" one has a nose hair stuck inside.

Yup.

I'm a fan of ETA too and prefer it as well but I would never trust any of these dealers that it is in the watch I bought from them. If it's not a franken ETA, it's a used ETA that likely needs a service anyways.

And the OP really needs to stop acting like an ass. If you researched this you would have came to the same conclusion.

Like it's been stated, buy asian and then have one of our trusted watch repair/modders source a swiss movement and install it. After researching and reading about the crapshoot in getting a real full swiss movement from the TD's, i went this route. I even started a thread about it:)

OP I would suggest to do what I'm doing..... I'm a movement buff also and there are many here, but this subject seems to get blurred by a argument that has many good opinions on both sides of this subject. The way I see it this is really a rep vs. homage thing...... and there's no seeing eye to eye..... pm me when you get a min and I'll share some good links and ideas on how to get the movement your looking for.....

Nothing messed up.... all of you longtime guys know exactly how to get Swiss movements,,,, but I want post any info to send noobs away from the TD's.... this guy wants what he wants and doesn't mind paying for it.... but sending him to a TD just isn't the right thing, cause they don't care about gen Swiss movements,,, that's not what they're in business to sell.... right or wrong?

What I find so bizarre about the OP is this.

Clearly, he finds the thought of a clone movement abhorrent. His descriptions of Asian movements as junk, saying that he can feel the difference between Asian and Swiss, etc. etc.

What he is looking to buy is an Asian rep with a new, clean, properly lubricated and calibrated, totally unsullied Swiss ETA movement. Well good luck with that.

If he were able to buy such a beast, he will likely have a movement that serves him well for the next 25 years. Unfortunately, the bracelet will shed screws and fall apart, the crown will strip it's threads several times over, and it will likely leak moisture like a sieve.

Here's my helpful advice - if you 'know what you want and don't mind paying for it' - buy a Rolex. Really.

Oh, and one other. If you ask for advice from the collective wisdom of the forum, you can take it or leave it, but arguing with it is pretty futile. If you know that everyone here is wrong, then do your own thing.

BK (who is a TD here) AFAIK only uses ETA movements, but the range of watches offered is limited.

LMAO, this post is the same as asking who has the best sub or best swiss sub, however the F you want to word it.

Look dopey you've been given advice and pointed in good direction, read more and learn more and don't come off being so F'ing smuge because in reality you know F all.

So what should you do??

Contact a seller of your choice or better yet Google one and flip a coin. Then demand Only the very best and newest Swiss made ETA movement (maybe a 2824 or 2836), demand you recieve a sapphire crystal, and the watch be made of entirley 904L SS. Pay extra for water resistance to 300M, calibration of your new replica fake watch, demand solid 18kt. gold if desired, and finally let the seller know your willing to spare no expense in your pursuit to find the best fake rep watch you can get, and don't forget to order a genuine fake boxset with papers as well, that way you can unload that piece of shit on Ebay later.

This is all true Davy,,,, and Sub nails these guys everytime.... the OP doesn't want a brand new ETA.... what he really wanted to know was who sells the best sub,,,, if He really wanted to know about ETA's he'd have Pm'd and I would have given him the info as the people I deal with can't be posted on the open forum... there are some that build the rep around the movement,,,but the OP isn't one.

Can u ever be sure you're getting swiss just by being told it is? And paying for it? So if some parts were mixed clone/asian... Will u ever know till u get it serviced?
Get asian, buy a Real Swiss Eta mvmt and have it swapped in by a trusted modder. That's 100% for me

This is what I would do. Costs you more but then you know.
