Dear forumers,

Wondering what can I do to solve this.

Please excuse my noob attempt to describe the problem.

The screw down crown on my BP classic sea dweller requires a good deal of effort to push in before it catches the thread to get screw down.

This seem to be different from my noob sub with asian ETA movement which screws down effortlessly.

Thanks in advance!

DS

Maybe the stem is too long, u could take off the stem and cut off a bit, quite a easy fix in fact, 10-15 mins work should be fine.

Thanks dude. I'll take out the stems from both watches to compare the length.

Next question is what's the right way to shorten the stem

You can use a stem cutter, but seeing as its only a micro adjustment use a diamond file, or a good quality nail file.
