Hi Guys! New to the site, and so far so good. :)

Had come across this site a while back, and juts revisited it yesterday.

http://www.replicawatchoutlet.com

Have never purchased from there, but the site "looks" good. But as you all know, looks can be deceiving. I didn't see anything on the RWI about them, but perhaps I missed it in my search.

Anyone know anything about these guys?

Thanks!

Pick any watch on this website, and ask a TD. Really.

Run very fast from that site!!!!!!!

We have trusted dealers here, stick to them!

Pics on that site you mentioned are of GEN watches, so who knows what you would get, if anything.

Geez...you guys are harsh! Day 3 on this forum and i am getting bashed! haha

OK, will stay with the TD's only.

I read somewhere on one of the forum posts that the watches sold from site to site on the TD's are pretty much the same, and you should choose based on service and comfort with the seller. That true?

If so, seems like Silix is a favorite here?

Sorry...by "favorite" I meant I have seen a lot of people recommending or liking that site for purchase while sifting through the forums. Seems to be a consistently liked site.

If anyone has any others they would recommend, I am all ears. I know, I know...there are tons of trusted dealers on here. But I am sure something separates one from another, which is why some people are repeat customers at specific sites/dealers I am sure.

Have a read through the TD reviews, it should give you a good idea on which ones will be best for you depending on what watch you are looking for etc.

Each person will have a different dealer or a couple of dealers that they use on a regular basis, mainly because of the service and watches they have received in the past.

Hey, JD, don't take the "bashing" personally, as some of more senior members get exasperated when noobs like yourself don't do the required reading on the forum. They mean well & don't want you to be ripped off and end up souring on reps. Of course, it IS useful to post questions if you're not certain and the "search" function wasn't too helpful. Other RWI members WILL BE only too glad to give you a hand. For "flame free" postings, go to the "Flame Free" subforum to post your questions. Welcome aboard.

Thanks Dave....this place is a bit intimidating because there is SOOO much info (which is good, but can take a while to sift through). I obviously was just looking for the "shortcut", which as anyone knows...anything worth doing takes time.

I appreciate the help though. The bashing was well worth it.

:howdy: Way to take the high road on this. Many new members get very deffensive and sometimes even worse, still dont get it. but It will get better with time. Shortcuts wont really get you anywhere in this hobby as you have quickly learned. Welcome and enjoy

I like your attitude, JD. When I was new here it was daunting and confusing, but several experienced members helped me out (while others couldn't be bothered). It seems to me things have become more hostile here than in the old days, but it is what it is.

With that being said, welcome!

The dealers I prefer are Hont, In-Time, and Narikaa. Don't be sucked in by any dealer hype about "1:1", "Swiss", "waterproof", "made by dissecting a gen" etc. Evern our TDs have those things on their web sites to compete for non-forum member business with other dealers on the internet. It's all crap. And don't be tempted by a $10-25 savings -- the watches are mostly the same from dealer to dealer. What you typically pay extra for is the way the dealer treats you and communication. And in my opinion it's worth avoiding the bargain-basement dealers.

Don't be fooled by slick web sites and pics - many of the best dealers don't have web sites as they prefer to stay under the radar. Just find a pic of the watch you want (either a gen pic or off another dealer) and send it to the dealer of choice along with a brief and simple (think 2nd grade) description of what you want.

Do your research on the watch you want first - make sure you know which version you want (if different versions are available) and how to tell the difference, along with what movement you want before you contact the dealer. The dealer cannot prepare a PowerPoint presentation for you on all the pros and cons of every available Submariner rep, say. So read buyers reviews and discussions here and make your decisions first.

Do not expect a perfect exact replica watch - there will always be flaws/tells, but they are for the most part very minor. Keep your expectations realistic and you'll be happy.

There is rarely a significant advantage to paying extra for a Swiss movement over a clone.

No watch is waterproof until you personally have it tested.

Automatic chronograph watches are much more problematic - know this before you order a watch with an A7750 movement.

If you buy a rep with the A7750 movement, never (or at least rarely) run the chronograph. It's just not worth the risk.

Good luck to you!

Great post and information! Thanks for replying.

Will do my homework and prepare all the needed info for a possible seller.
