mitch, very nice watch, keep it bro and believe me its the perfect size for a DateJust, the special feeling when you have that on your wrist can Not be compared to.

I've been telling guys for years to go to these pawn shops, you can often find many great deals on watches. Shopping at he AD, TRF, and other sites you will find huge inflated prices, however going to a pawn shop and haggling is your best bet for a preowned watch. Now many of these shops will tell you the watch you want is this price, its a Rolex thats the price, take it or leave it. Buts thats all BS, tell them that what your willing to pay, offer cash, and often you will walk away with what you want.

Just like purchasing a car.

I've seen high ends in pawn shops before but it's been a long time since I've ran up on a deal this good... I know where some are in another pawn shop but I think they base their prices on eBay and it's mainly older models with open lugs and stretched bands for way to high priced.... this watch,, to be a newer model and new-like condition, is what got my attention... I'm sure there are deals around but this was particularly sweet. Sure wish it was a sub, dssd, ym, or Daytona.... but it's growing on me, probably because the new-like condition of the band... it just feels good.

I'd suggest removing the gen bracelet and replacing it with an inexpensive after market bracelet. Keep the original in MINT condition to enhance resale value later should you decide to part with it. They are tough to find in this condition, and buyers will pay up for that.

Great score!

I say flip it for profit. Hey, part it out if it will get you more $$$$. Obviously, I don't agree that there would be any sacriledge involved with taking this watch apart. Rolex made millions of these. It's not rare.

For the price he paid I would keep it and considering the watch is just as new its gonna be pretty hard to find another like that at such a great price.

You got a steal bro. I say keep it until you can flip it for the watch you really want.

Even $2500 for a datejust made after 1999 is an awesome deal imo.

Another good thing about DJ's is, if you don't like that particular dial, another gen dial is relatively cheap and very easy to replace. Your options are almost limitless.

That movement looks real clean. Are there any service dates on the caseback?
Congrats on the watch.

You know I didn't look, but I don't think so...and it's amazing the difference when it's photographed by a professional and when I shot these last few with my phone under fluorescent lights!
