Yes I think that is true, my jeweler said I should be very careful mounting the screws again. So it's good that the bezel screws are sunken then they are little more protected from wear and tear.

Maybe you can protect the screws with a clear coat, like polished brass.

Project x dlc diver is one of the projects I gave up because the ap FC diver came out. But I did my homework, I have the quotes from modders on dlc and enamel mod on the seconds hand. I have quotes from both eu and conus, if you want to take up that project I can help

The movement is a2824 when it comes from factory in China. Or there are Swiss versions with both Sellita and ETA movements available. All these movement are high beat @ 28800bph. The gen AP have a 21600bph meaning the sec hand on a gen AP ticks 6 times each sec instead of 8 times as the rep does.
So because of that I will change to a vintage Swiss ETA 2846 that also have 21600bph so the motion of the sec hand look like the gen.
These movement can be fund on Ebay for 45-125 usd depending on their condition.
Searched ebay and found two 2846 with day functions of foreign language.

I believe someone tried the movement swap and then realized that the date disc didn't fit... but dunno for sure...
U actually need parts from the 2846 transplanted into the original mvmt to make it slow beat. Mine done that way. Believe most modders can do it

The 2846 can be used but you need to transplant parts from the 2824 to the 2846 or the other way around.
Imo best to keep the 2824 and use parts from the 2846
A black ETA 2836 date disc will fit on the 2846 movement or you will need an DW overlay.

I read a post some where on RWI. And they took a 2824 and moded it to a slower beat rate. Cant remember who done it though.
