Hi,

ApDiverfromdonerix_zpse87ae1ca.jpg

Does anyone have this donerix strap for AP Diver? (First, second, and third one).
If anyone does have, would you please show me how does it looks
I scoured some forums and did not found anyone with AP diver using it.
I was wondering was this a good replacement strap for my diver. Looks unique to me as no one have it yet... :D

The rep strap is a tad bigger than my wrist so the watch goes slid everywhere sometimes.

Other choice I am looking to is the saffiano strap made by SMP, but after looking at several pics of it, I am still unsure whether it would really be a nice combo with the watch and especially when wore on the hand. Also, it looks a bit stiff and thicker than the rubber strap.

I am also thinking for a gen rubber xs strap as it would be the easiest choice of all, but as seeing the price of usd 200+ and not much jump of quality/looks from the current rep strap, it makes me think twice to buy the gen xs rubber.

DONERIX Price : around usd100-110
SAFFIANO Price : around usd150-160
XS RUBBER Price : around usd 200-250

Opinions/Comments please? I'm confused and I only have ONE shot at this  So it must not be a wrong one.

why do you only have one shot at it. I suggest you buy one, try it. If you dont like it then sell it and move on to the next choice down the list..

what others may like are not necessarily what you will like.

The tricky thing with straps for diver (and other APs? I'm not sure) is the need for inserts so the strap can connect cleanly with the endlinks, neither donerix or SMP have them - however I know SMP is working on these atm so stay tuned.

Otherwise, SMP's saffiano is thicker and stiffer than the rubber, but in no way does it compromise the feel or comfort of the watch and strap when wearing and will soften up too. As for it's looks - absolutely great

Simply because I don't have the time and resources to buy, (and if I don't like it) wait for it to sell, accept some loss, and then wait for weeks to find and wait for another strap to come in :D

What do you mean with connect cleanly? Do you mean trying to connect it stiffly with the endlinks? If there are no inserts, would the strap be look bad when wore ?

Really love the look of SMP lover's Prada strap for the AP Diver. Hopefully it's as thick as the rubber.

This donerix strap is not hornback not croc. So it should be cheaper than that.
I still wonder why no one really had this strap matched with the diver.
Or, no one comes up ? :D

Without the inserts on the strap, a little bit of the end links are exposed which you wouldn't get on the rep or oem rubber strap. It's quite hard to see in photos, but it's there. Some mind it, some don't.

Afaik, only APBands, migliore and luxe straps have these inserts (SMP is working on one now as we speak)

I've seen Donerix straps going well beyond 1mm too big on each side of the lugs. Not to mention the stitching. I'm guessing it's hit-and-miss.
