Anyone know where I can buy some screw pins for my panerai for the strap? Given up on Toro.

Bought the watch right at the beginning of January 2013. Watch arrived at the end of Jan, strap pins kept falling out, realised it was missing screwss. Asked Toro for replacement which claims he shipped at the end of Jan. Nothing arrived since then.

His one arrogant reply was :

Please don´t confuse the delays of the shipping companies with the service of the dealer.

Since shipping the screws I sent him 2-3 emails, so I wasn't constantly on his case. I was patient.

The guy can't even apologise and only has the above to say.

How ignorant!

Anyway, anyone know where I can get some?

Perhaps if you were clearer on what screws you need we could be of more help. But as Toro has said, he has shipped them, there's no need to keep sending him emails.

If it's lug bar screws there are endless options on ebay or Panatime for replacements. They cost a few bucks to replace and really you could have avoided all this.

If it's screws on the strap then I'm not exactly sure what you are on about

Mail sometimes takes a bit long to arrive. And it can be also lost, you know. Toro is a TD for a reason and will not be screwing you over some tiny screws. And I also see no arrogance whatsoever in his reply.
Please explain him your need in clear and calm terms.

PS: I'm a noob to reps, but if there's one thing I learned, it's you always need to be patient while waiting :)

If Toro says he has helped you out, and shipped replacement screws to you, that's exactly what he has done. Probably sent via EMS, which will take 2 or 3 weeks to reach you.

Just order from Panatime. Consider getting the springbar screw replacements.

Panerai screws are readily available, cheap, and can be had without waiting on shipping from China. Get some panatime springbars and never look back.

You can buy these on amazon -- at some point (especially between now and January) its just as much your responsibility.

Oh and to help: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Screw-Tubes-Strap-Panerai/dp/B007R790KU"]Genuine Screw+Tubes for 24mm Strap Panerai 44mm Swiss: Watches: Amazon.com@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41bsIC3TwIL.@@AMEPARAM@@41bsIC3TwIL[/ame]

I'm sure they are coming, I doubt via EMS though. China post more likely, could take a while. Like the other guys say, get spares from ebay or Panatime and when Toros come in you will have a back up set. Everything takes time in this hobby.

I think 75 days for some screws is pushing it.

It's a PAM 190 so it's not the bars, but the little phillips screws that go into the bars..

Most people would expect the word sorry in one of the emails. Just to also point out, in 4 months I've sent 2 emails related to the screws. That's reasonable in my book.

I feel your pain e46. Toro once publicly offered me a $40 cash refund and apology, but in private the best I could get was a $20 credit on a $450 watch purchase. Not cool.

However, I would imagine that no dealer would send a tiny set of screws via 7 day EMS Express. It was likely via Hong Kong Post, and that takes an average of 4 weeks, and it's really all over the map. I've received HK Post in as little as 2 weeks and as long as 6 weeks. Also take into consideration that he very likely didn't mail it out the first time you emailed him. There was probably a few weeks of back and forth email, and 6 weeks is really not too far out of the norm for that shipping method.

So you've waited 75 days to wear a watch when you could have bought these for $15??

Fair enough if it was some rare screw that only the rep makers have, but these are not exactly uncommon.

Dude, those are $5 on Panatime and even cheaper on Ebay. Be happy it's only the screws and not some bigger problem, sometimes these watches do need maintenance.
Did you tighten them up when you first unpacked the watch? That's one of the first things to do when you receive a rep.
