2816 for 2813 on BR 01-92?

I'm handed a BR 01-92 (46mm) that just went dead. Seems to be a jammed second pinion or something but decide that I will just swop out the movement.

Found that the 2816 is half the price of a 2813 from Cousins UK but I'm concerned that there might not be enough clearance for the rotor of the 2816.

Has anyone done such a swop before?

The 2816 is thinner than the 2813 so there's a good chance the stem won't line up with what you have already. Your other option is to go for the 4813 which is similar price to the 2813 but is high beat.

Rich - beware of 4813 from cousins. I have heard a lot of them still turn up as 21kbph instead of 28kbph.

I would say if it had a 2813, replace it with a 2813 or as Bonesy said the stem won't line up if a 2816 is thinner.

Good point on the stem height guys, I completely missed that.

I have a 4813 from another watch to try on, still seem to have a bit of misalignment or maybe it's the movement ring.

Anyway, it back to a 2813.

Thanks for the inputs everyone.
