Finally, I have finished this little project, starting with a Cartel 1675 from Trevor with a few extra modifications..
(1) Replace the Asian2836 movement with a Swiss Low Beat ETA2846 movement - Thanks to Sneed for his guides..
(2) Fix the GMT to GMT timezone (ie you can't adjust is now hour hand and GMT align at midnight and are opposite at midday)
(3) Re-lumed using SuperLuminova. I still used the metal shapes on the dial and smeared the superluminova over the removed lume, to keep the lume thin..
(4) Re-shape the crown guards to be more pointed.
(5) Replace the crystal with a Clarks Plexi glass.
(6) Replace the bezel and bezel insert with a Clarks one.
(7) Service and regulate the movement.
The only snag is that the bezel is very, very tight!! I pressed down the plexi retaining ring so that it is flush with the case.
I had to sand the inside diameter of the Clarks crystal retaining bezel to get it to fit (Took ages to do

)
Then I pressed down hard with the handle of some pliers to protect the case and managed to get the crystal retaining ring flush with the case.
I the end, I used the original bezel retaining ring and the bezel is still stiff but you can just about turn it
Anyway, I think it looks the business and at least on the 1675 rep the hand stack is correct!!
