I've been looking for this green SOH with no luck. Is it possible to buy a SOH and swap out a different colored bezel insert like you can with Rolex subs? If so, what's the best source for inserts?

I wish I had your problem. I really want that watch.

Anyway, not positive if it will fit, but I have seen bezels on eBay for the SOH.

Anyone know a source besides ebay? I found a few auctions for SOH bezels and they're asking $299 OBO. You can pick up OEM Rolex bezel inserts for $20.

I was looking for one too but couldn't find an aftermarket source. If you end up finding one let me know.

Well it sure isn't like swapping out a Rolex insert. I've tried several different tools and I can't get the bezel off. I finally gave up and ordered a bezel remover. I'll update when it gets here.

May be a dumb question but... Doesn't the bezel have a bunch of retaining screws around the outside that hold it on? Are the screws functional? Anyone out there done this?

I tried to take the bezel off my SOHC to reallilgn the insert. Someone had told me they are 'difficult' to remove, it turns out they're impossible!

I assumed that the retaining screws would be ready to drop out and get lost, so my plan was to whip them out, lift off the bezel, remove and clean the insert, move it round 1/2 a minute, superglue it back in place and then put the screws back in with Loctite.

I was foiled from the off! Those little screws were totally solid, absolutly no shifting them without risking damaging the heads or slipping and scratching the case. I believe they're real as all the slots are at slightly different angles, they've just been glued in securely. Some heat would probably shift them, however, it'd wreck everything else...

If anyone knows of another way to get the insert out, please let me know, I tried a razor blade around the edge but it fits too well!
