I've bought a Big Pilot from Toro Bravo's on 15 jan, it arrived broken on 4 feb. From then on I got no response until 24 feb. We agreed that I would send the watch back.

The watch was sent back and it arrived 12 march at Toro Bravo's. He did not contact me to inform me what he will offer me (repair or new watch).

Today I asked him to refund me my money because this all takes far to long. I am a patient guy but in my opinion 2 months is a long time.

Status quo: paid Toro Bravo's $300 over 2 months ago and I do not have a watch.

Why not start a new thread as I was really just sharing my experience in this one and showing off the AP Diver. That way it'll get more attention and you may get some responses.

Well, I finally got a response after a week to tell me that he can't get any more PAM111 beginners until a new batch are made. Could have told me this last week when I ordered, but obviously not, because he wouldn't have got my cash then, would he? I told him I wasn't willing to wait (because no timeframe was given,so I assume he has no idea when these will be available again) and requested a refund. Got a reply saying he would refund me. That was yesterday, and no refund to my Paypal account so far. It seems the two minute job is just too much for him to do, even though the transaction details, amount and Paypal address are all in the emails between us. Wonder how long I have to wait to get my money back into my account?

I personally wouldnt sweat it just yet. Give it a bit of time. Reputation means the world to any international seller who uses paypal.

you realize you wield a ton more power over paypal than any seller does. its easy to get your money back over paypal if the seller has wronged you; especially if you have a history of being a paypal user (because paypal wants your business).

All you have to do is call up paypal and explain the situation. On top of that you could say its a replica scam and they will limit the sellers account (thus his business and livelyhood); do not do this though its a super dick move unless its a str8 scam. Sellers are a lot more exposed via paypal than buyers are.

Yes that would be a dick move and I do not recommend it unless as an absolute last resort (IMO an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth). But understand that in the eyes of Paypal its the buyer (not the seller) who wields true power. Paypal WILL get your back over any seller if push comes to shove. Paypal needs buyers who TRUST PAYPAL (not sellers) in order to make their money... and thats what it all comes down to now doesnt it?

Ive gotten scammed a couple times over PayPal and the issue has been resolved in under 3 business days each time with a simple phone call; I waited 2 months before I called paypal each time too so IMO i gave ample time for the merchant to rectify the issue. On top of that each time the seller involved was trying stupid stalling tactics not communicating with me in a timely manner and would also try BS counter offers and whatnot and paypal didnt have have any of it and just shut them down and returned my money with a smile and a simple click of a button.

However, escalating anything to this level is an absolute last resort. Respect the dealers reputation and give him time; treat other people the way you would like to be treated if the roles were reversed. An international sellers reputation with paypal is literally their livelyhood. This forum and these TDs are providing a great service for us imo and deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Thanks all for highjacking my overall positive thread as I am HAPPY with Toro and will recommend him.

You should have started your own one and your own experiences. There are right ways of dealing with this and doing that (Tamerlane) is not on.

Tamerlane and Baggypants: You choose to buy from these TDs and if you pay via paypal and do that you shouldn't be on this forum as you should read the rules. First discuss this with the TD before resorting to such measures and spoiling things for everyone else.

Mods: your opinion?

Thus you can get a full refund through paypal AND hurt a sellers business. Sellers are a lot more exposed via paypal than buyers are; especially if its merchants from china, a country notorious in the replica trade of designer items is an immediate red flag to paypal which further inclines them to get your back.

Um, you jest, right? You have been here quite long enough to know that you need permission from the admin to make a PP complaint. The correct course in this case is to take out a support ticket at the RWI Help Desk and get a sales mod to work with you to resolve the issue. http://www.lastplaneout.biz/helpdesk/

Making a PP dispute will just get you banned from all the rep fora and blacklisted by the dealers.

agreed 100%. PP dispute is the absolute last resort. If i did not make that clear then i apologize.

I just want to make clear that I have never had a bad experience with a TD from this forum. I also respect the rules of this forum. It has been a great resource for me. I hope that I can add value to TDs by doing bu$ine$$ many more times with them.

I also want to make perfectly clear that Toro has been GREAT with me thus far and he is my go-to guy currently.

Apologies to trtr. Sorry your thread was hi-jacked. I have removed all my remarks except he last about Paypal.

Beautiful watch, wear it well, and I'm glad your experience has been positive. I just wish mine had been as good.

I am sorry to highjack your thread. I can understand you were happy to show your watch in stead of reading about problems of someone that ordered a watch.

I created a new thread.

Nice watch by the way!
