I have inherited more guns than I care to own. I've just been sitting on them because last time I looked into it, a) it seemed like a PITA to sell them and b) the dealers charged a lot of money to act as the agent on a gun sale.

Any tips here?

I thought that while America is going crazy buying every gun on the shelf that it might be a good time to sell. :)

Are there any recommended gun auction sites?

No idea where, but it's probably going to get much harder to sell them very soon, especially at gun shows and over the Internet.

Find some internet forums specific to your region. That's probably the best way these days.

Know the laws for your state before you sell.

sell them on gunbroker.com and let the buyer pay the fees. you ship to a federal firearms dealer they pick and pay.

Auction arms is another venue, don't bring them to local gun shows.
Tax return season is upon us so it is a good time to sell anything.
I'm always looking for double guns and saddle guns. Craigslist is sometimes a good source even though it violates policies to sell firearms people find ways to avoid being flagged like listings like hunting items-email for list out model 94

No Glocks. Mainly I have:

Browning double automatic shotgun - vintage, made in Belgium, maybe from the 50s

Walther PPK - 1980s - "Made in West Germany" before the wall came down.

Smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman model 28 - 4" barrel

I also have a Ruger .22 automatic that I was thinking of keeping and some .22 caliber rifles that probably aren't worth the cost of transferring ownership.

The less hassle way is to consign them at local gun shops. They charge a fee but it's local and they do the selliing for you. I think that is the easiest way if you're not looking for profit and are just getting rid of them.

My advice is to use Gunbroker. The fact that you live in SF is probably going to make everything more difficult. If you know of any local shops with good reputations, that may be easiest for you. Just make sure to do some research on your own. Read the state and local laws carefully so you stay out of trouble.
