Hey Guys,

As the title suggests I am looking to get a nice dress watch, one I can use for work everyday.

The key is accuracy!

I have a few in mind but am open to suggestions, the more accurate the better!

1. Pam 288
2. IWC Ingenieur Laureus
3. Rolex Milgauss (although bit concerned about accuracy)

That is about it so far...

Suggestions/opinions welcome!

Looking for one too, and pam 288 definitely comes to mind! I am, however, a little worried that it may be too flashy for everyday use.

I am currently using a Tudor snowflake that I got from Daz recently, and it has been serving me real well. One thing that really bug me is that the flake is a little to small, at 41mm for my liking.

Looking to get a skyland with croc strap, and I think that may interest you too :)

A Pam or Breitling as a dress watch?
I dont think there are much well repped dress watches but i would go for rolex.

Rolex Explorer I and/or Breitling Superocean Heritage v2. Both are very, very accurate and stylish reps. Breitling for your "dressy diver" needs and Explorer for everything else. And then get an Omega Aqua Terra rep once they make a decent one.

I would suggest a PAM380 - The PAM288 is lovely but with the chrono its a tad thicker and the busy dial takes away from being a 'dress' watch, not saying i wouldnt rock it with a suit.

The PAM380 is simple and elegant. The only known flaw is the space between R_A in PANERAI on the dial, its a bit bigger then it should be.

Another recommendation would be the IWC F.A. Jones, not 100% accurate but damn close

The choice you made are good, especially for the Laureus and the Milgauss.
The Rollie is a little more razzle-dazzle and less dressy comparing to the IWC but it works well too.

And both are very accurate.

Or you could take a TC Sub if you like the 16610, a very versatile and 100% accurate watch.

How can you say this baby isn't a dress watch.

I love the 380, it was actually my 1st choice, but the gap issue bugs the hell out of me, which is why it isn't up there as it is such an easy tell.

If it wasn't for that it would be a winner!

I checked out the F.A. Jones... WOW. That is a beaut, and cheap too!

Might have to add that to the list. What would you say is not accurate about it? Apart from the weight (I have read).

I actually really like the sub but I am waiting on the noob release of the ceramic version.

For me it is a sports watch, but it would def fall into that everyday "wear with a suit category" along with Omega PO so thanks for the comment. I am looking to get one eventually anyway which is why I didn't include it.

Do you have PICS of the flake?

If you dont want to worry about a gap between letters, why not build/buy a sterile dial watch or MM homage?

Maybe a polished case Cali dial?

I found the 288 to be too thick and busy for a dress watch.
Imho one of the best would probably the IWC Portofino w/ stick markers

The milgauss is also a nice choice (just make sure you get the non-gv crystal for accurateness)

Another option would be the AP Royal Oak (not offshore) not as accurate but a solid rep nonetheless

The new Montblanc Timewalker with 7753 is pretty accurate. It is also a very nice all around watch!

I'd go for the IWC Ingenieur, even the Portofino. very classy. the Portofino iirc is quite accurate.
