It may not be an issue at all...and I'm sure if there's any concern we would be made aware and have an opportunity to do our part if or when the need arises..The op mentioned it and your right RWI is a great place to hang out, talk watches and make friends...I'm sure there are many here that would stand tall with this board if ever called upon, lot of great guys here.....

I have never wandered into any other forums so it would mot be fair for me to comment on them but all I can say about RWI is that....This place Rocks!
Ok let me explain a little something about that poop hole Rep Geek, its ran by a bunch of nuts who are protecting you from free speech, your right to post your opinion (if they don't agree with it), and delete your post as if they never happened (its called extreme censorship, something they practice in backwards countries), its the extremists and fanatics who run the place, and let thier be no doubt they outright lie to thier members.
Now on the very other hand these over moderators jump on other boards swear, post boobie pics, and otherwise carry on. They tell you one thing over there and then go to other boards and act a completly diffrent way (I believe its called mutiple personalities, its quite insane behavior), if you go to geek and say boobie your banned, if you disagree with the insanity and voice your concern your banned, if you do anything other then fall in thier line your banned. Its a place I want nothing to do with. You'd be surprised to know whos paying the bills over there and believe me they will never tell you.:goat::goat::goat:

I peek at RG for Angus/PT's posts on new releases, and thats about it.
I know many on this board are also on that board; everybody has to have a home and this is mine.
I do the same thing. I just went over on hour ago to find out about a chopard gtxl croc strap since no one really posts much about them here. I check Angus's posts maybe once every week or so.

I think they have taken a strict policy on any sort of group buys and related projects that ask for payment before product is in hand
Not saying it is right or even that is what you are doing, just think they have seen those turn bad before and members want the mods to protect them if it does
It seems a thankless job so don't wish to talk badly about any forum mods here or there

I have to agree with Mitchbarria, mods have been very helpful and patient here and always seem to have the interests of the community at heart.
I spend the great majority of my time here because I've found it to be more friendly. There's really nothing i need to wander in the other forums, although i do stray from time to time

I know a shit ton of people go over there, but theres something about that site that creeps me out.
I spend more time on Geek than over here, but I can attest to the fact they can be really strict over there.
I made a post asking what I could value my AP Safari at because it was scratched. After a day of informative posts the thread was removed and I was warned that it could have been a perceived backdoor sales attempt.
Real weak sauce, but otherwise I love the content over there. And although the mods may not be friendly the posters are, unlike some people over here. I saw a guy get ripped to shreds for asking about a certain type of AP -- literally only 3 members offered helpful comments out of like 50 who bashed him....then again the same thing could have happened on 'Geek so who knows.
All in all - both are good places and have good resources, sellers - to each his own.
BUT....RG doesn't have this AWESOME emoticon:

I stumbled on the geek first, way back when it all started, bought my first ever rep there - from Brobert, of all people, stayed in touch with him, was a faithful member for months before venturing to RWI and eventually other boards. In time, RWI became my 'home', but I never had any type of bad blood with the Geek whatsoever - in fact, I liked it for the most part, I just preferred it here.
I remember a member getting booted from there and I thought it strange... And then a couple of my threads did the 'Houdini', and now this. It's just ridiculous, and it pisses me off that (to me at least) the watch I've been working in with Gio is such a cool piece of the rep community and work like that (and other projects) is worth sharing with rep afficianados, regardless of their preferred forum. I still have no certainty as to why the thread was killed, but since I had no intention of rubbing anyone up the wrong way, a pm explaining to me the error of my ways or even a modified post would have surely taken care of the issue.
But, life goes on - and this place is (Still!!!) number one!

hahahaha fu*k that crap vibe i felt when i was over there(way before i was ever here), ive always felt way WAY better about how this forum is handled.. everything seems more fair and not like a censored absolutist totalitarian north korean version of RWI. AND I love the way its set up here even down to my custom color schemes. i sense a better energy, might i say synergy, here.
