None of these people will ever be able to respect the heritage behind Rolex and watchmaking; it's just bling for them. It's pretty sad, really, but that's the reality we have to live in.

About the bling thing. I agree. But it's not just Rolex. Audemars, Hublot and zbreitling have also been infected. Those of us that appreciate the history behind Rolex, and the timepiece itself are becoming few and far between. Thing of all the people who you've heard say " if I want to know the time, I'll look at my phone "

Back in the "Good ol' Days", the price point was enough to "keep out the riff raff".....not anymore......if you call jail "home away from home", wear your pants so low you could get arrested for exposing yourself, and most of all, mumble a few lines about thug life, 'hoes n b!tches, and "gin and juice", you can sport an iced out Rolex that would make a pimp and Don King turn green with envy......

Interestingly , the one he's wearing isn't trashed . I like a tasteful diamond bezel here and there. But that shit is just ridiculous.
But then how are the other people supposed to know that's an expensive watch? It's not like they know anything about Audemars Piguet. They are still working on that, they need to use the name in a couple more songs and show it in a few more clips.
