I feel the itch to get a watch different than all these standard 7750 configurations to be my daily beater, something with an intricate movement or configuration. Chronograph is a must, if it's dual chronograph even better and alarm is a plus. So far I found these I really like :

1. Vostok LUNOKHOD 2 with a specially designed swiss movement for this watch, has 8 micro-motors! and vertical tritium tubes with reflecting mirrors for maximum luminosity. Other functions include 31 days dual chronograph and 31 days countdown timer and an awesome second hand dial.

needs a 31 minute instructional video to learn how to operate this beast

2. Citizen 2100 cause I'm a sucker for panda dials, i played with one for a while and the chronograph feels just like a mechanical movement, same click when depressing the buttons, sweeping hand and it has Eco-drive !

3. Citizen Eco-Drive Moon Phase Flyback Chronograph Watch includes features like looking kick ass on the wrist and being photogenic as an olympic runner from Australia

based on these 3 choices, can you recommend something better?

Are they similar costs?

$900, $300 and $1200 , so far the Vostok is the most appealing feature wise, but that design is something only his mother would like.

Don't love any. None have a classic design and all se, relatively "cheap" in appearance. Sorry :(

I know, that's why I was asking for some other options, I'm not looking to pick one of these 3. These 3 are the closest I could find to what I am looking for, but they are not quite there. The first one has all the neat features I'm looking for but a fugly ass design, the next two are pretty nice, like the dial design, but the overall aspect could be improved.

So nobody has any other suggestion for a sweet looking panda dial? Need to get a gen soon cause I feel that the itch is passing and I'm more and more inclined to get with another rep  the AP silver themes.

the citizen 2100 is very high quality. Probably their best watch.
