Why do the rep companies not build a roo diver with the 21,600 beat movement?

Keep the same build quality of the 3.5 diver, but add a 21 jewel movement?

The movement costs less, and in turn, the rep would cost us less. All this coming from the price differences between 21j and their 2836 and swiss counterparts. All models apparently keep the same build quality, only difference being the movement.

At the same time, it would be even more accurate to the gen.

It would virtually be one to one.

Sounds like a win. Less price, more accuracy.

I think they would have to make a different set of hands to fit an a21j. Currently the hands fit both a2824 and ETA/SW-200.

The 21j is thicker (has the same stem height as the 2836) so it would require changing the design of the entire case.

so, add a cheap 21 jewel movement instead of a Swiss? I think we are really beginning to slip off the farm a bit with the Diver...Sometimes I can't help but laugh at the stuff that gets posted here...
