I think something is wrong with me. I see all these AP threads and pics and I just can't get into them. I just don't like them. icard: I even thought about buying one to see what the big deal is but just looking at the pictures to find one to buy makes me cringe.... I don't know if it's the case design or what ....

I just can't do it :lolcina:

I never fell in love with them. Owned a silver themes but let it go within a week again.

I guess it´s the same with other brands too. Many lovers of AP don´t like the more simple design of i.e. PAMs.

Same here but I have to admit I felt the same way about Panerai. So I finally bought one to see if.....a 111M in May 2011 and love it. Mind you that is the only PAM I own but still love it. Thank goodness there are dozens of brands huh....cause we all dont like the same thing i.e. cars, whiskey, beer, etc,

Less than 6mo. ago, I sold off every Rolex I had and started stock piling Breitlings. Now I have 1 Breitling and I want to buy most Rollies I see. I also have 2 PO's which I never use to care for either.

BUT, I still cant get into the PAM craze. Probably in part to the fact that I still do not like straps, only SS. We all like what we like.

Only AP I ever liked was the Diver ad Safari. Something about the color combo of the creme dial brown strap that makes it classy.

I am the same. I'm a bracelet guy. I'm waiting on some reviews of the new PAM 299. Looks pretty good with the bracelet.

Walk into an AD that has a diverse offering of brands. You will dislike at least half of them. That's what makes this such a diverse hobby. I didn't like them at first, but now I love them.

I just didn't like how they looked. Before 2 months, I've bought 3 pams already, and loving it!
If you change your mind, go for AP's, if not, hey, there are plenty of other brands you can spend your money on!

Personally I mostly think that APs, Hublots, Pateks, and Ulysse Nardin's are pretty ugly.

PAMs have finally started to grow on me but I just like the Radiomirs because they don't have that gigantic ugly crown guard. I also don't get the wanting to own 5 PAMs that all look about the same. On the other hand, the PAM guys probably say the same about Rolex!

There is nothing I like about them either. Having said that, I didn't like the Hublot 4000 either when I saw it now I can't wait for it to come!! Some people are so anti Panerai then they switch big time. I am however never switching to AP.
