I have a really interesting story.
A couple of months back, I went into a meeting with someone whose sole business is selling super high end watches. He had just returned from Sweden where he delivered a watch that he sold for $1,400,00!
The reason I was meeting him was that a friend of mine set up a meeting because I was selling a Piaget watch(one of two made)that I acquired in a business deal. On our way to the meeting, I was telling my friend that my dream watch is a Richard Mille.
On a side note...I was wearing a franken pam, but when we were going into the building, I changed it to a gen Patel Calatrava(white gold)that I had in my briefcase as I was also selling it(it's nice, but too small and thin). it's a good thing I did!
When we walked into his office...it's a small office, but super posh...guess what he was wearing? A rose gold Richard Mille! I literally could not stop staring at it!
After the pleasantries and introductions, we sat down at his table. I noticed on his desk, there was what seemed to be a gold Breguet tourbillion. It was facedown and he was changing straps. When we sat down, I pointed at his watch and told my friend..."remember in the car I said that my ideal watch was a Richard Mille? THAT is a Richard Mille". He said to me..."oh, you know your watches!" I said yes and we talked watches for a while.
My friend asked(she is not a watch person) how much the Richard Mille was. He said that he is selling it for...$795,000!! Guys, if you could have seen the quality and workmanship, you would know why!
Anyway, after a few minutes, he half whispered to me..."would you like to see some thing REALLY special?" I replied..."what do you think?"
He walked into a small room with some really impressive looking safes...I could see from the screens behind his desk. He came back in and asked..."Do you know what a Greubel-Forsey is?" In my mind, I was like..."SAY WHAT?!" But my mouth whispered...."no".
He then puts on the table...VERY GENTLY...a watch I had never seen or even imagined. It was a rose gold Gruebel-Forsey QUADRUPLE tourbulliom!!
It looked something like this, but with a white face....

Guys...I was literally light headed and having mental orgasms!! It literally took my breath away. He asked if I wanted to hold it...and I looked at him with fire in my eyes. He handed it to me, while saying..."please be carefull" about 308 times!
I cannot describe the feeling of what I was experiencing when I was holding it in my hands. The weight, the gold, the crown, the face, the gears, the workmanship! Even the strap(brown croc)looked and felt like it cost a few thousand dollars. It really was quite unbelievable.
My friend asked him..."how much will you sell it for?" He simply replied..."I'm not"...and smiled at us.
ANYWAY, we proceeded with the meeting. He said he would not be able to do justice in selling my Piaget as it is more of a jewelry type watch(full of diamonds and sapphires) and his clientele are more into more mechanical watches.
When we ended, he told me that when I want to buy a watch to tell him and he would get me watches for 30-40 cents to the dollar. Very nice man! Very rich man!!
I actually have been wanting to share this story for a while, but it is so long and I type with two fingers. The power reserve on my DLC'ed Pam 28(rep off course!) went down a few marks while writing this!!
So you guys better enjoy this story!
Great video.
I must stop now as my keyboard is smoking due to my excessive speed in typing....
