I don't really understand a lot of what you have written, but even if I get one year of use from the Daytona, I would consider that good value. :stb:

But if they are convinced that with 500/600$ may have a Franken 100% , that they buy them in China.
Surely it will be the same as mine.:lol1:
Shame that mine , is a gen Daytona 16523 , Year 1998 with the 4030 Rolex changed with a Zenith 410 Low Beat gen.

Do you know Robbie , I stopped believing in Santa Claus many years ago.
But if with 600$ you can get from China EQUAL to mine daytona , well , I'm the idiot that I spent all this money.

That's quite an interesting idea, but spending $1000+ on a fake watch just seems crazy. No matter how much you spend, it'll never be genuine, nor worth more than the value of it's parts.

I think I'm either going to gamble on a Daytona, or change my choice of watch. I've not found anything that piques my interest more than the Daytona yet, but I'll keep looking. Colour combinations and material choice can do a lot for a watch, every bit as much as the overall design.

Not to get off topic here but im looking for the same thing your looking for. Now i have a Daytona Rep from Silix that has fooled plenty of people already. At a glance. These people are not xsperts at any level. Nothing like the guys here. But to me something is missing. But after much reserch the watch i want to biuld.Wich is all SS Daytona with black dial. Would cost me thousand's of dollars. So i changed my mind for the moment. I guess its how much you want it. But i ended up spending alote of money any ways. So far after buying gen insert gen crystal crown and tub gen max dial and hands. And still got to pay TC. After shipping and testing water proofing etc. I will be over two thousand. Easy! But it is a Rep that i will keep forever. Yeah im crazy but i have a Rep that is 80 percent gen and will love it. Last time i looked a mint 50th Annv Sub run about 6-7 grand. So what i payed i can live with that. And yes its true if i sell it i will never get what i put in it. But i will get most of it back.

"F" accuracy....I wear my sec@9 all the time and NEVER been called out .... It's better than owning a $300.00 paperweight.. :thinking:

...and I wear my 2813 Daytonas and never been called out either.

The secs@9 might be reliable but - just for me - the subdial spacing is a big no for me. I can´t get past that.
In my case, I find it more acceptable to see the seconds hand (big seconds hand) running around than the spacing being wrong.

The subdials spacing mess with the design of the watch, and this, is what a running hand does not.
The 2813 Daytonas have a good dial, and the correct thickness of the watch, also not sloped bezel. It looks just about right from some feet away, or even in a closer look. Plus, the fact that they are reliable working horses. Only let down would be the fact of it not having the chrono function, but well.... I have never timed anything with my real chrono watches...lol It ends up being only for the looks.

...But hey, it´s just me. My 0,02 cents about it, and my personal choice about the Daytonas.
