Keeping PAMs in humid places.

Hope this is the correct section to post.

Visited a friend who stays in a place where humidity is high. 80% +- on average. He keeps his watches in zip lock air tight bags. Is there a need to go to such extremes? I think it probably do more harm to the leather strap ...

interesting topic.. I'd also like to know how people in tropical regions of the world store their watches/have noticed any humidity born issues.?

If I were in that situation, I may just have a watch box with some silica gel packets to help keep moisture out.

I've had a Gen Oris rubber box that is shaped like an F1 tire "melt" in the humidity. It's sticky and gross. Other than that everything else is fine, Gen watches, Rep watches, leather straps or rubber straps. I live on a hot and humid island along the equator.
