Came out to CA for a visit, so I had a couple watches shipped out here, since I'm incapable of stopping. I was either going to wrap them up in my checked luggage or usps them to myself.

Do all checked bags get xrayed? Wondering if a bunch of watches in a suitcase will raise suspicion.

If you wrap rollies in plastic next to your underwear, I guess that's mooore than suicious! I'd take a nice watchcase and take them in there properly! And of course I'd be dressed up "properly";)

Wouldn't check them... might get lost and how will you claim those? If its a fw don't worry and just carry. If its a lot maybe ship with tracking if you live in conus...

I wouldn't check them too. Once they start going through your stuff--not that it happens all the time, but it does happen from time to time--I wouldn't trust the folks who touch my stuff. Not only from a safety POV, but also not trusting the TSA agents.

And I'm pretty sure all the bags would get the X-ray. That's the least they could do.

Yeah I would think wrapping them in plastic and checking them would be more suspicious then just unpacking them and having them sit in a laptop bag or some sort of carry on.

Just put them in your carry on. TSA doesn't care about anything except security risks. Internationally it might be a different situation with customs and all, but I regularly travel with 3-4 reps in my carry on and no one cares.

I never check my watches either, always in my carry on and the idea to put them in a watch case is very good advice!

OK, thanks guys. I guess I'll have to ship them to myself this time. I didn't bring a carry on, left the laptop at home.

Besides the worry of someone taking them from your checked bag you have nothing to worry about. You can carry as many watches as you want, nothing wrong there.

I've carry-on my watches in a nice camera case...watches are on pillows and wrapped in a black microfiber cloth....plenty of compartments for other valuables...Never had a problem..

This. If you're not taking a carry on, you should still be fine if you do a reasonably good job of concealing them within a checked bag.

yep carry them with your carry on luggage. There's several 3-5 watch cases, but never in the undercarriage. Lots of opportunity of loss.

I use a small pelican case in my carry-on set up for carrying just a few watches gen or rep. Good protection and they never have an issue. Just a guy traveling with watches like a woman does jewelry. More importantly when r u getting home? I have work for you :lolcina::biglaugh:

Hopefully I won't need a case for them in the future. After being in Texas I can't stand California. I never want to come back here. Too many assholes, too much traffic.

And I will be back home Wednesday evening. Shoot me a pm when you wanna plan something.
