McAfee Site Advisor started giving me the warning today-

And RWI is set up as one of my trusted sites. I fully think someone is pissed off and yanking the forums virtual "chain"...

When I was blocked with no warning or reason from Avast (I did not know I was blocked), I used a proxy site.
I was pretty sure it was a Viral infection, little did I know that it was an Anti-Viral infection!!
Now Avast is removed altogether and I am installaing MS Security Essential.

Surprisingly MS SE isn't too bad. Either that or good old Free AVG are your best bets.
Note: If you can't get rid of Avast for some reason, just turn off the link scanner and all will be well. same applies to those few having an issue with McAfee.

It's proving a nightmare to find out exactly what is causing the alert, it certainly isn't on our servers unless it's a harmless .php script that the AV has decided for some reason is malware. Considering the number of links on RWI and the number of scripts that vB uses this could take quite some time.

Here you go, from the horses (avast) mouth - in reply to my email to avast saying it was reporting RWI as a false positive:
"Hello
in order to protect our users, Avast does block the sites distributing counterfeit goods. Therefore, we don't consider this false positive"
