TD vs Scam Site

This subject has been covered ad-nauseum, there are some excellent threads on the subject but I still see people posting : I bought from XXX and the watch i received is shit etc...
So i thought some pics to illustrate this will be nice:
Ordered this from a non-TD (before I found RWI):

BTW, I don't imply that all non-TDs are scammers, but I'm pretty sure most are. Now if you want to play with fire, you might just get burnt...

Some dealers are trusted here and some on other forums. PC for example, why is'nt he trusted dealer here on RWI?

Yep, some dealers might be trusted on other sites but not here.
I spend so much time here on RWI that I don't feel the need to subscribe to the other sites... This place is just great.

There is a very long and complicated story behind why PC and Trusty are not trusted dealers here. There is a good reason why we call them the cartel.

I think of "other" forums like Walmart. You go in there ( I never would shop there ) for cheap crap. RWI is more like Bloomingdales. More refined. The TD's here are above others. I know the folks that run this site, don't just let anyone in.

Wow that's interesting thread about Andrew trusty time. Ironic to see Andrew , a china dealer responded with fluent English with side of humor.... I always favored Andrew for his smooth business side. Price is not always the lowest but when I deals with him, it's always quick communication. Bottom line is he runs his rep business like a legit business, like almost reminds me I'm ordering something off a bestbuy website, you get a follow up email and etc. Anyways, lost track of the subject :/

To be fair if you know what your getting into Andrew and Josh are good delaers. If I want a watch quickly they're the ones I go to. Prices are a bit higher but they're very quick and they provide decent after sales.

I've been using Sead 5 times till now and I am 110% satisfied. I've had issues but nothing that couldn't be solved with some common sense.
That being said, I don't know Andrew or Josh, true that I am a noob, but ever since i joined this forum I've been learning some terrific stuff, but most of all I've learned to trust the admins' judgement. I went through a 17 page debate and if those guys are no longer TDs here, there must be a valid reason. I'm not here to judge but the admins and TDs here are doing a fantastic job.

These types of threads always seem to go in the same direction, a discussion about the Cartel Josh and Andrew or JAndrew, why they aren't dealers here, what happened, who cares:maty: be happy with the dealers on this forum, nearly all dealers can get access to the same reps, and some do have a better relationship with different factories.
I enjoy visiting most of the forums( and actually miss Wc because my account was closed) but Rwi will always be home, and I'll not slag off other forums/forum members nor dealers.

Back on subject...
Thanks for posting that photo, I have often wondered what a watch from a non-td is like. These sites often use pictures of gens and I nearly got sucked in before I found RWI.
A good example of why we should stick with the TD's

Why thank you BMW, you just managed to insult me (I am co-founder and admin of www.rwg.bz remember) and the many members of the other fora who visit and enjoy RWI.

I don't consider any other forum to be "Walmart", each has it's place, it's own style and it's devotees. Nothing wrong with diversity and it is in fact important. Some folk prefer Breitling, some Rolex and in the same way people have their preference for a particular forum.

I do not know of one single dealer at any of the fora who should not be there from the POV of performance. No forum dealer anywhere will rip you off or scam you, none of the fora would allow this. We chose to make a stand on The Twins for ethical reasons, nothing to do with the customer experience. that is our right and everybody including Josh respects it. He doesn't agree with it of cause but he has no trouble with us taking that stand. At least he didn't last time we spoke.

At any rate, the danger with Walmart is not the shopping experience, it's the effect it has on smaller retailers and the market in general. From the POV of shopping I'd love to see them here, from the POV of a guy who has friends in businesses that would be greatly impacted by their arrival on our sunny shores I do not. Walmart is beaten for all the wrong reasons. They sell quality at the lower end of the price scale so they tend to set up in lower socio economic areas. Regrettably (for Walmart) this tends to attract society's less than fortunate members. TBH I see the pics on "People of Walmart" to be a much more damming indictment of American culture (or the lack thereof in certain areas) then of the company itself. Walmart didn't breed these people, they just shop there.

By all means, bash Walmart for their killing of small business, of small local chains and stores, of that great American tradition of "Main Street" of their abhorrent treatment of worker's rights and the several other crimes they are guilty of but how exactly are the deplorable standards of decency, dress and decorum exhibited by lower class America displayed on "People of Walmart" in any way their fault? I think these problems are a lot more deep seated than the existence of some cheap retail store.
