I got this from a swiss replica website which is no longer in business. This was about 4 or 5 years ago before my RWI days...
I was out drinking late this past friday, two days ago. This morning I woke up and did the laundry. When I took my pants out from the dryer, I felt something in my pocket and this is what I found:

:picard2: What do I do now? This was a skeleton supposedly "swiss"handwind movt with working chrono. Now nothing works, and no crown. I paid around $600 with shipping (I know I got ripped off). What are your thoughts, throw it away and cut my loses?

if you find all the parts and this watch is dear to you, you can service it. but since its a chrono, that will be a between USD 150-200. and i think with this site + trusted dealers, you can just buy a new one for the same price of a service.

The movement will need a total service, new strap and maybe new hands, probably cheaper to buy a new watch.

First Sorry for your loss, second this is not a swiss movement asain hand wind chrono and 600  wow I think you can pick one of these for under 300$. Well we live and learn. I think if you get this movement overhauld about 150-200 because its a chrono then buying a new crown $? It's probley easer just buying another and selling this for parts.

It sure is a loss, but I also think buying a new one will be much cheaper.

probably not repairable (for a reasonable price), unless you want to try watch repair as a hobby. probably just get a new watch and keep this one around to play with parts

squeezing out and ironing :p

I'd keep the dial (and maybe hands) to try and vintagize it so you have an option. Case, pushers, tube, caseback, buckle and crystal are good replacements if you buy the same watch. All the rest I am afraid will have to go :/

perhaps send it to one of the trusted watchsmiths on the forum for some good will as a parts bin.

Then buy a new watch..

I've got a filling that wasn't genuine leather.. :)
