Guys, I am a bit untrained when it comes to GMT, is this rep or gen ? My guess is it is gen....Next question ....what is it worth ?

Not 100% sure but the insert 6 and 18 look correct as well as the CHS. cant really make out the crown and CG's but it looks Gen or Franken to me, but I'm not expert either.

I have the GEN of that exact model and it looks GEN to me, but I would need some more pictures to compare it with mines... Also, they are running from $4,200 to $5,000, depending on the condition and how badly one wants it...

Yes indeed. One of these must be true:

- It's a rep with a cheapo crystal
- It's gen with substandard aftermarket crystal (or at least date mag) OR
- The picture is distorted somehow

This is a GMt not a sub

That doesn't change the characteristics of the date mag, does it? Sub & GMT should be the same AFAIK.

i seem to remember that the cyclope (at least on the 1675) is weaker than say a 1680. i think this more or less has to do with how far the higher profile crystal extends above the DW on the sub making it appear more magnified.

Sub has always bigger date mag...
Even the ceramic Gmt has smaller mag..
Check once in the net and you will see what i am talking about..
Gen GMTc with SUBc crystal has been once a big conversation over the TRF..It just didn't look allright to me lol..

If this is a gen, then the questioned picture is most probably a rep..
