I thought it was a pretty nice one until 2 days later I noticed one of the pushers fell out. its lost and I can't find it. On the third day the watch stopped. Its an automatic and I can't get it to work. I tried winding it shaking it, wearing it. Nothing. Won't start up. Should I get it fixed? Why did it crash?? I purchase it for 700 baht, which is about $22 USD. I was pretty upset but nothing like how upset i will be if my new $360 rep turns out to be a lemon

Trust me, I have one of the more, expensive models, like the one you ordered, and trust me, you can't compare the quality between that one and your new one. Wait and see.

Does the bezel rotate? cos it moved way over to the left!

US$22 can't cover the EMS shipping even in Asia so just write it off..

Daytona sec @ 6 are prone to fail, you can read more about them in the rolex section.. If this is your first expensive rep, I suggest going with another watch

That could be a possibility, if only this was a 7750. For $22, Im surprised its even a 21j.

I'm really surprised. For 22 bux it should have lasted for at least 5-6 days :biglaugh:

Wha?!! Mine lasted almost 3 years before the pushers fell out. Still works well - I had a thread about it a few days ago. I'd bought it for the equivalent of 20/22 USD in 2009.

I just sealed them (the holes left by the pushers) with gorilla glue for the present (after stuffing it with tissue paper to avoid the glue getting into the watch). White circles in the side of the watch, but otherwise fine. Kinda looks like a cross between a sub and a daytona now (at least from the top). Plan to fill it with some sort of hardening putty soon. But overall, I'm good with it.

That's the weird thing about (cheap?) Daytonas though - the pushers are just seated in there, and come off with very little pressure. They aren't screwed into the case like they ought to be.

With cheap reps it's often just the luck of the draw but I'd say you did well and your ingenuity didnt hurt either. :)

the pushers worked and when I bought the thing I asked the street vendor to set the correct date for me. He spent about 5 minutes doing something. I should have been watching him because later I unscrewed one of them and pushed it and it got stuck. Could barely screw the thing back in

I wouldn't have thought for 700 baht it would have lasted 'long time'.

Try paying a few thousand baht and your watch won't work for 'short time'.

LMFAO Sorry had to -

Consider this my education, but what's wrong with the bezel? It looks pretty similar to a 225$ watch I see on one of the trusted vendors' sites

Edit: not filled with black paint - that it?
Edit: duh! never mind.

The bezel is way off, the 60 marker on the bezel should aligned with 12 o'clock and 120 marker should aligned with 6 o'clock and this should be a fixed bezel. The watch shown is not with a working chrono too, the sub dial at 3 is for date which you can see 31 on it and the sub dial at 9 is for day which you can see 7 on it.

The bezel - I'm sure it' s rotatable (at least mine is - the $20 one - that is why I was confused), in which case the positions in the picture would be moot. I was looking at the finish on the bezel - guess I was way off.

Not a working chrono for sure. Shows day/date (which also doesn't work, btw)
