So I sent some money to a fellow member gift. Partially cause I'm a swell guy ;) and mostly cause I trust him immensely. Aaanyway, PayPal is now charging 10% to gift someone money. Rat bastards

I recently sent some money that way also- didn't look to see if I was charged or not, though it wouldn't have surprised me.

[RANT]

People who place in their sales listings "$$$ net to me" or "buyer pays PP fee" Cripes you cheap selling bastard, just add $5 to your listing and be done with it.

I've always wondered how much interest they make off customers. Not what they charge us but that "float" from the PP balance to the bank. I bet they make millions alone off the interest

I never even take it that far. If I want to sell a watch for $100, I sell it for $100. I dont calculate in my head the cost of PP and shipping and then sell for $107. The buyer will pay what I think the watch is worth, paying the fees are all part of being a seller. I can either not sell a watch or sell it for what it's worth and then pay a small fee for the ability paypal has given me. Or I can just take payments by mail & check only, how efficient would that be?
